Kitchen is closed permanently. Bartender told us. Fun vibes inside.

The lady at the counter was unfortunately not friendly. We went in to grab food and she told they no longer serve food.
When my friend asked to use the bathroom (we came with the intention of consuming food there) she didn’t let her.

I always enjoy myself when I am at Hobb’s, as I like to call it. I use to go here when I was in the service industry and still do when I come out that way. The staff is well-experienced and they often are veterans in the game. Ask them for their recommendation or even better, their specialty. I often enjoy the beer and shot special and the lemon shots are out of this world! Raspberry is my favorite. There is such a relaxing vibe about this bar when it isn’t crowded, which I can’t be mad at when it is. It is my “home bar” for Mardi Grad, period, meaning it’s my drunk-self point of reference. My dog in particular loves going here. She is always welcome, given water and treats, and enjoys the social company above anything. My extra AF Sweetie will pull me through the door if I dare pass by on a walk. The prices of drinks are more than reasonable, especially for the service, same with the food. My habit is to order the chicken sandwich poboy but I’ve never been disappointed by the menu otherwise. I enjoy the music mixes that each bartender comes up with, unique to their shift I believe. In a lot of ways, this place and its staff are like family. I have weathered through my own storms here in the past, always finding a good conversation to turn things around. Movies nights, if they are still ongoing, are the bomb. I have also attended a beer launch or two here, and loved the new varieties they choose. I don’t want my special spot to get too popular, selfishly, but I know they’ve earned everything I have said here. 15/10

The negative reviews are hilarious! So many say "been eating here for years. Had one bad experience. 1 star!"
The truth is this place is light on atmosphere but HEAVY on great food! I mean really really great food. Huge portions at low prices. This is not a tourist spot. It's the real deal. Thank you guys and we'll be seeing you every trip to Nola.

Update; you guys closed?!? I'm devastated but at the same time... enjoy your retirement!

“Want something good to eat?” Is what the chef said as he welcomed us to walk down an alley to this hidden hole in the wall restaurant. At first we were unsure because of how the outside appeared. But the food taste like it was cooked by your grandmother on a Saturday morning.

We had pancakes, eggs, buttery grits & catfish with a biscuit buttered to perfection.
The staff are welcoming, service is quick and food taste excellent.

A nice quiet and chill break from the crazy environment Bourbon Street.

This place is a hidden gem. The service was great and the employees were friendly and helpful. Came for breakfast, which was enormous; left with a serving of peach cobbler, which was delicious!

If you walk out of those place still hungry then you ordered a side salad. Absolutely outstanding food. Po-boys loaded with choice of meat, delicious crab cakes and hot melt mac and cheese. Talk about comfort food. The Gumbo was outstanding. Look for this place instead of walking the main.
