Meat and 3 cafeteria style place with food that will make you close your eyes and remember your grandma's cooking. SO GOOD!
Friendly quirky staff and a funky cool fun bathroom you just HAVE to see! Not even kidding, check out their bathroom. (you'll see and you'll be glad you did! 😄)
I had the Red Beans and Rice with Sausage and the Greens. Unbelievable! The Greens were incredible. Sweet and savory at once.
My daughter had the smoked wings. Excellent! The Green beans and Mac & cheese were awesome.
My son had the stewed chicken over rice WOW!
My wife had the fried chicken breast with creamed mashed potatoes. So good!
Huge portions and friendly no frills casual atmosphere.
Best meal we had on this trip!
Highly recommend!

Food was good. Attitude of the staff was horrible. Guy at the register was fine... Guy in the back was YELLING at me for making the Cardinal sin of showing up too early to pick up a catering order.
Oh well last time for me
Edited to say the food was very good. Still... The attitude ruined the experience.

So I will start with the positive here. First off the mac & cheese was phenomenal by far some of the best mac & cheese I have ever ate. The smothered cabbage was also great. The biscuit was also very very good. I also got the banana foster pudding which was really really good. Now the negative.. I got the hamburger steak and I’m sorry ro say that is was not good at all. No flavor, and overcooked to where it was hard. Also it seems as if maybe it’s a frozen burger patty also. I did want the fried chicken but didn’t see it so I assumed maybe they was sold out it but after I got m play, it looks like somebody else ordered fried chicken after and it looks like they keep it in a hot box behind the hot steam table. Which was disappointing because someone don’t know they would just assume that they were out of it which I probably should’ve asked, but I didn’t.
Will I go back to this place, most definitely just because the sides were really good and next time I’ll ask for the fried chicken, but definitely the hamburger steak is not it.
The guy fixing the plates seemed very cool and had a really great’s personality also

Okay so this review comes solely from a perspective of someone who has never actually been there. However I’ve been ordering through UberEats because of a deal they have and let me tell you, I talk about this place constantly. And whoever was cooking today 1/26/26 was on another level!! No photos to post because the fork did not stop today on that chicken and rice with greens and mash.

The food is good it's very good but it's a total rip-off you pay $10 for meat loaf gravy and rice that's it...normally buy plate for 10$ you get a side or even fries with chicken but hear your side is the gravy and rice will never go back and I would not recommend anyone to go there without extra money for sides that normally come with plates at other places

I have yet to have something that wasn’t delicious. Stewed chicken, catfish, meatloaf, wings, ribs. The thin fried pork chops might be my favorite. For the sides, again, they are all good. Between my partner and I, we tend to rotate through the mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, collard greens and black eyed peas. Super friendly staff make this an almost weekly go-to for a casual lunch or dinner.

A great classic meat and three restaurant. The fried chicken was delicious, mac and cheese was great, and the collard greens were perfection. This will be my new go to for collards.

I expected better food after reading their reviews. Maybe I should have read further down on the reviews. I had fried chicken - it was okay. The smothered cabbage and the mac and cheese was not tasty. I wouldn't go back there again.
Amazingly well executed menu, everything was great

No frills and delicious. Stewed chicken, fried chicken all super tasty. Loved the stewed tomatoes and okra, excellent biscuits. Wished I'd gotten the greens but was able to taste some. Wonderful! Really really great for cafeteria style dining!

A new favorite has been UNLOCKED. Every dish I sampled at Hot Stuff hit. The meat and 3 sides is worth every penny. Can't wait to come back.
