A new favorite has been UNLOCKED. Every dish I sampled at Hot Stuff hit. The meat and 3 sides is worth every penny. Can't wait to come back.

I’ve gotten dinner here twice now and planning on more, fried chicken and stewed chicken are absolutely delicious. Love their dinner rolls, collard greens to die for. Got orders for three people and barely went over $40. If you love your friends or family take them here, and if you love yourself you must go, no life is complete without a visit ❤️❤️❤️

The food was absolutely amazing. We had smothered chicken over rice, collared greens, Mac and cheese, okra, and banana pudding. Everything was top tier. It’s counter style service, and the gentleman serving us was so kind and friendly. There are plenty of tables for indoor dining. I’m definitely coming back and highly recommend Hot Stuff.

If I lived in New Orleans I would single-handedly keep Hot Stuff in business. Got the stewed chicken on my last visit bc they were out of fried chicken, but if fried is available 1000% get that. Best mashed potatoes ever.

Hot Stuff is exactly that. The cafeteria-style setup makes you feel instantly at home, and as a New Yorker I was grateful that the staff took the time to walk me through every dish I asked about. The food here was easily the best we had in New Orleans. I was shocked at how much I loved the chicken wings since the sauce sounded unconventional, but they turned out incredible. Pickle cheese might just be my new favorite food discovery. Grab a cold beer, head to the backyard, and settle into one of the city’s true staples. It’s the perfect blend of low-and-slow meats with fresh seafood, served up with genuine hospitality that makes you want to come back the next day.

My dad and I got the chicken, mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese. Made us both sick the whole next day
I've been eating this type of food for nearly 68 years, so it takes a lot to impress me, but Hot Stuff did.
Great southern style meat and veggies place with a touch of New Orleans flavor. I got a three vegetable plate and one of the standouts for me were the collards, which were perfectly cooked with bacon and had a slightly sweet, smokey flavor. I also was impressed by my lunch partner's stewed chicken over rice which had a rich brown sauce. Before we left, I begged a sample of the smoked chicken wings and will definitely be ordering those next time. Again, perfectly cooked, with an interesting glaze that started savory and then hit my throat with a little heat.
