Jamila’s is my neighbor restaurant. The food and service has been consistently excellent over the 20+years that I have called this restaurant one of my favorites in the Uptown neighborhood.
One of our most enjoyable restaurants this year. The owners made the experience unforgettable. Hidden jewel, would have added a pic of the entry but got lost in the moment devoured it!

The food here is amazing. The seating area is quiet and quaint, and the atmosphere is dimmed and well-appointed. The owner is amazing and will laugh and joke with you, but at the same time, he is making sure every need is met. The food.....again....is top-tier, and I highly recommend trying several of the delicious appetizers. The food is cooked to order, so do not rush in expecting a quick turn....expect to enjoy company over a glass of wine, and to savor the experience. Will definitely be back!!!!
This place gets a one star review. The food I ordered never came. Well it came and the waiter took the food away from me and gave it to someone else at the table from in front of me. And told me there were no more lamb chops. The proceeded to put dishes I did not order in front of me and told me to just eat that. I left. Zero stars. Will not be back. This was a birthday celebration and I was not the only person at the table he did this to.
