I went fearful of what I could find, I was looking for Mexican food and I found this oasis, I'm from Houston Tx and never thought I would find the best birria at this place, service was excellent and price very affordable, ambiance was excellent, the place is super nice.

Stopped in during my families visit to NOLA! We love trying new places and frequent the area often. This place has the BEST birria tacos I've ever had! The consume is to die for. Service is phenomenal and you feel right at home. Do NOT pass this place up, you will regret it.
Not only is the restaurant beautifully decorated with a fun atmosphere. The food is absolutely amazing. I recommend a margarita with the tajin rim and the birria tacos. Everything was delicious and the service was spectacular.

The visit with Joe was amazing! The owner of the restaurant welcomed us nicely, introduced himself, wanted to get to know us and accommodate us as best as possible. We are vegetarians, Joe prepared something especially for us, we really appreciate it! The food was excellent, well seasoned 10/10! I have never had such a delicious Margarita drink in my life! I will definitely come back, I highly recommend it to everyone :)Vegetarian options: Even though there are no vegetarian dishes on the menu, Joe is able to prepare something special for guests who don't eat meat! Vegetarians - I highly recommend visiting Joe Joe!

The best Mexican food in new orlenas .. try the bocho tacos !!
Ok let's start with the good things. The outside was well lit and ample street parking. It's across the street from Manchu's. The service was great. I sat at the bar solo and watched the bar tender make my margaritas fresh. No premade mix. Just limes, tequila and love. Hence why I ordered two. There's a decent selection of tequila reposado. The usuals you would see at a Nola spot (1800, casamigos, el jimidor, etc.) a few mezcal options. Will try some next time. He was friendly. Indulged my requests to practice speaking Spanish and took my food critiques in stride. Speaking of food....it's definitely very gringo in presentation and taste. It was bad but the fajitas were very authentic tasting. The steak was very well done (typical for the area), but they should definitely offer a an option to cook medium or medium rare. The rice was yellow and the refried beans were normal. Good portion size for the $17 price tag. Sour cream, guacamole, pico, and 3 corn tortillas were included. I asked what should I try next time after telling the bar tender the food was "muy gringo" and he said to order the birria tacos or the pork tacos. Stating that those options are more authentic. So I'll definitely be back for more margaritas and potentially a new menu item.

Y'all we stumbled into this GREATNESS of a hidden gem in February 2024! This was an amazing experience, we all were able to meet Joe and Joe. They were both great host and very hospitable and extremely attentive. I'll definitely be back (with my big party too)! OAN just let me know when y'all want to go, I'll go back with you. That's how much I enjoyed myself.

It's 11pm. The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Chicken tacos have really cuts of chicken seasoned fantastically and with the pickled onions!!! Perfect!Vegetarian options: Very accommodating menu! Request were no issue.
