I had this restaurant marked because it's owned by some TOP CHEFS in the culinary world! We get there and notice it's pretty empty, was expecting it to be busy! We order grandmas tacos with rice and beans. The tacos were not the problem, it was the rice and beans...very bland..no seasoning! Since it's a nightmare driving around in New Orleans, we decided to stay there and move to the bar after we ate. I ate the tacos but couldn't with the bland beans and rice. The bar tender wasn't very friendly and made the "homemade horchata" with a bag. Dont think we will ever visit another John Tesh and Aaron Sanchez restaurant again.

I so wanted to love this place. As a fan of MasterChef and Chef Aaron, I had high expectations. We walked into an almost empty restaurant when every other restaurant was packed. A table with glasses and silverware sit right at the entrance, giving it a junky feel. We were seated quickly. We started with chips and salsa. We received a bowl of fried plantains and chips along with a bowl of roasted salsa. This was the high point of the meal. We both ordered the Tacos Albondigas (meatball tacos), with Mexican Rice and black refried beans. The side dishes were devoid of any flavor. It was strange. No salt or any other seasoning at all. They got pushed to the side. The meatball tacos were quite good. I wanted something more than a meatball in a tortilla (maybe a slaw?) but at least they had flavor! Our server was attentive and friendly enough. We moved to the bar for drinks. The bartender had an attitude from the start. She had some personal issues that were affecting her service (I heard her tell the lady next to me that she was "going through some stuff"). My biggest problem was that the Spiced Cafe con Leche states that it's served with "our housemade Horchata". Probably not a great idea to let your customers watch you dump a spoon full of grocery store Horchata powder and regular milk in the shaker tin. When I asked what the powder was, she got snarky and said "horchata" like I was being nosey. The drink tasted fine, but I was looking forward to what I actually ordered. With ALL this said, these chefs might want to make a visit to their namesake location before it's completely drug through the mud. Just underwhelming and not worth the money spent.

Extremely good, the meatballs taco is legendary, as well as any other dish we took. Service was super kind and knowledgeable. The only bad thing I can say about this place is the fact that I didn’t have room left for dessert! THANK

Was back in New Orleans for a Saints game and my brother, the Executive Chef, recommended this cozy spot just down the street from the Superdome for a Mexican food brunch before the game, and it's apparent he is good at what he does! The atmosphere, food, & service was excellent!
The place features your standard dining room setup but there is also a full-service bar with televisions (like a sports bar) for viewing whatever games might be on.
All in all a very good recommendation from the bro and we'll definitely go back the next time we're in and around the French Quarter!!

I love going to Johnny Sánchez before the Saints games for brunch. The food is delicious, the drinks are creative, and the service is friendly. I recommend trying the Blood Orange Spritzer.

Absolutely most horrid food we ever ate, menu selections were poor ,and food we could barely keep from vomiting , bill was over $87.00 for food that tasted more soured Greek food than Mexican. Unless you can't taste food I don't recommend wasting your money here

Was super excited to go to Chef Aaron Sanchez's restaurant. The portion are small and very expensive. They have overcomplicated some of the food.
