I My Goodness! The peanut butter dessert alone is worth the visit. In addition to the appetizers and entrees. A wonderful place for dinner. Next time we'll try breakfast and lunch.

Food is TERRIBLE. How do you mess up steak and potatoes? The lemon ricotta pancakes and JE breakfast with soupy grits were also a miss. Our server never told us her name. Wish I could give a 0/5 star. The manager knew of our complaint and never came to speak with us.

Service was not a good experience. When we checked in at the hostess stand they apparently forgot to put us on the books. They told us the wait was ~10 minutes. After a few drinks at the bar and 25 minutes later (and seeing a few other people without reservations being led to tables) we asked about ours.Turns out they forgot to put us down. But instead of being led to the table straight away, we had to wait another 20 minutes, so 45 minutes total. When we were led back we were surprised to see how much space was available the entire time. About 11 tables were populated. The kitchen also had enough capacity , because they would have let us order at the bar (but who wants to eat a $70+ meal at the bar??)Our server was also quite brusque, absolutely not the standard we are used to in the US.

Excited to go to jazz brunch on a wet Sunday. The dining room is gorgeous and the jazz was chilled and great. The brunch however was underwhelming. Actually very poor. The menu was limited and my choice of “country breakfast” had oversalted scrambled eggs, limp soggy tepid rubbery potatoes and a few meagre slices of cremated bacon. Our waitress was surly at best. Incredibly disappointing and would not recommend.

Bar staff too busy with themselves, to young to understand how to serve a crowd. Always notorious slow and rude place.

I came with a group of 9 for brunch, and DQ was our waiter. He absolutely made this experience for us! He was so kind and friendly from the get go. He offered us great recommendations from the menu, gave us insight into the history of the restaurant and some of the dishes, and was so personable throughout our service experience. He never let us go without something that we needed or asked for. All our food was amazing, but he made that morning so much more than a brunch for us!!!!!! 10/10 for DQ!!!!

Consistently incredible. Great interior design and vibes, but the food really is impeccable. There's always something new to the menu and each thing i've tried is better than the last. Also they have one of the best espresso martinis I've ever had

The food quality has definitely declined. We have been here several times in the past and always enjoyed our meals. This time we did not. For an Italian restaurant to make mediocre to poor lasagna is inexcusable. Another pasta dish was equally disappointing. There are many other great Italian restaurants in New Orleans that are producing amazing Italian fare. Very disappointing.

Loved the individual vinyl records being played & changed as the evening progressed! Great music to dine by. The design & decor of this restaurant is worth the trip; the lighting is just fantastic, plus the upper area wall accents of palm fronds atop the netting — scored from a private visit to the NOLA Opera Company warehouse? Fabulous! We had a terrific server, Ryan, and our meal was stellar! Thanks to the GM, who came by to ck on our evening meal, and shared the story of the palm fronds atop the netting... Highly recommend the Caesar salad, as a great shared starter, plus the Duck Specialty Pasta, and the pan-seared Red Snapper! Excellent service, a fun environment— while still being verrry classic — plus the lovely surroundings, and outstanding food.. just couldn't ask for more!

Absolutely loved the atmosphere. The cocktails are delish! Recommend the Passion in Palermo. We sampled all the appetizers, small plates, pastas and deserts. Loved the brussel sprouts, meatballs and fried mozzarella! The peanut butter budino was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the wonderful service!!!!

Unfortunately a bad experience! Freezing cold, rude server and waited 45 mins with no hope of any good arriving! We left!

We were in town for a quick trip and Josephine Estelle was highly recommended by many locals. We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Melvin was an excellent server and knew the menu well, we took his recommendations for our entrees. We did the fried mozzarella and Brussel sprouts as our starters, and the Caesar salad! All were delicious! The Rigatoni and Tajarin were both tasty and good portion size entrees! We observed almost every table around us ordered the lasagna, so might give it a try if we visit New Orleans again. We did pass on dessert because we were full, but had after dinner drinks. Our experience was 5 stars in all areas! The noise level was high but primarily due to a large party in a section of the restaurant
