We ordered when they opened, there were no other orders obviously, it took over 25 minutes to get an order of fried fish. No kidding.

I visited J’s Seafood Dock and tried the fried oysters. Honestly, they were just okay — nothing really stood out for me in terms of flavor. If you’re exploring the French Market, it’s an easy place to grab a quick bite.

Very disappointing: jambalaya seemed like it was days old and reheated, couldn’t even peel the shrimp. Not worth the $20 I spent.
We’ve been here many time over the years and keep coming back for the ambiance and great food. The shucker was slower than molasses and aside from his piss poor attitude was playing some crappy music on a speaker right by him which drowned out the music coming from the stage. Explain to me how it costs more to shuck or charbroil a Half of a dozen oysters rather than a dozen
Very disappointed

found inside the French Open Air Market food was absolutely delicious. my husband said they were the best alligator bites he's had and I agree first time I've ever tried soft shell crab and thought it was delicious. my Creole oysters with colored greens were divine my husband even ate some collard greens

Originally good to try a different shop. One of the other vendors highly recommended J’s over the other the shops. Order the half fried shrimp and fish boat on fries. Daaaayum… the food was on point. Everything was fresh, catfish and shrimp were damn good. Shrimps, we clean plump and delicious. Thank you again for the great meal and experience.

Great seafood at the French Market! Durand provided excellent service, I really appreciated it!
Had the jambalaya and char broiled oysters and they were both excellent! And great customer service. Surprised the line was as short as it was. Would suggest you give them a try if you’re at the French market
SUPER tasty food at a very fair price given the quality.
I’ve been in New Orleans for 4 days and the crawfish beignets were the best dish yet. The toppings were unbelievably fresh and cold atop a hot dish
Loved everything I tried. Fab food and Duane was so friendly and helpful…. Highly recommended ✨
