Have loved Juan's Flying Burrito for decades. As a Saint Louisan, it's my Mexican craving go to when I'm in NOLA. I got the Nachos last night and the portion was ginormous and tasted amazing. I always notice the cute painted coffee cans light fixtures. Magazine or Canal? You pick

The food / portion was trash and I will not be going there again because the price that I paid for my family food was so expensive but not worth it at all.

Flavorful! Friendly! Fiscally conservative! Our funny, kind, attentive server, Porscha, recommended the Mexican street corn dip. I don’t know what magic they lace that with…but holy wow is it delicious! The chicken enchiladas are loaded with creole flavor meat and generously topped with salsa verde, cheese, and jalapeños. Every bite was flavor, flavor, flavor. And the prices! $14 for three big enchiladas? There was a half a plate I could have taken home for another meal if I hadn’t shared it with my husband. He had three steak taco truck tacos. Top notch taste on those too.
Only here for a week, but we’ll visit this place again before we leave. And in the mean time Porscha recommended a handful of other restaurants for us to try out. Businesses supporting other local businesses…I’m here for it!

I was served by a snide punk with terrible tattoos, who had the opposite of a can-do attitude and absolutely no desire to do his job. He gave me the wrong order and blamed me. He spent most of his time talking to the staff in the back. Honestly this happened weeks ago and I just couldn’t stop thinking about it every time I went to the nice location on oak street so I thought I would let y’all know he should get a tattoo on his forehead that says “useless.”
Best salsa in town.

Four stars for the drinks and three for the food. The Magazine location is where I usually end up going as it is close to my house (and Sunday they usually have happy hour all day and I like to get my double margarita for the price of a single). I need to disclose that I'm not really a big fan of Mexican (and I got really REALLY burned out on Mexican food and anything wrapped in a tortilla while I was exiled to Austin for a year and half due to Katrina). They often play headbanger music (sometimes WAY too loud) so that is a bit of a strange combo of Mexican food meets goth death metal.
This can be a great place to eat by yourself and grab a quick bite to eat or go with others and hang out for awhile. I usually get either the tacos or enchiladas here as it is a quick and relatively cheap meal (they usually bring you the green and red sauce but you have to REQUEST the yellow habanero sauce). They have a good rotation of different specials (as much variety as can be expected within the limited repertoire of everything has to involve a tortilla in someway Tex-Mex food). It does get very crowded sometimes and there can be a wait. The bar usually turns over pretty quick but some days people just linger for awhile.
They have some very well decorated people working here (and by decorated I mean seriously tattooed up) so it can be entertaining just to watch the staff in action and they do usually provide really good service (the Mid-City location is famous for bad service and that is why I rarely go there). They make some of the best margarita's in New Orleans and have some good cold beer so a great place to drink and decent place to eat.
I used to go here weekly or several times per week as it was a good value. During the lockdowns they made some choices here that I can't support so I don't go here anymore.

Excellent Mexican Cajun food! Fresh chips, house made salsa, and don't forget to have one of their delicious cocktails!

The waitress shorted my change. I brought it to her attention, showed it to her and immediately she knew how much was short. Now I believe she did it purposely. The fish tacos are really good and I would say in my top five picks. This time the blackened Fish tacos I'm Not sure if they were good because I got sick and a boil showed up on me. Maybe there was a bit of bacteria or they were expired.
