I’m extremely disappointed by the unprofessional and unacceptable behavior I experienced after leaving an honest review about this establishment. Rather than addressing my concerns directly, someone affiliated with the business decided to have others reach out to me with threatening or intimidating messages.
This kind of retaliation is not only unethical — it’s alarming. It shows a complete lack of accountability and respect for customer feedback. To make matters worse, I strongly feel there may be an underlying issue of racism here, given how aggressively I was targeted simply for speaking my truth. No one should feel unsafe or harassed for sharing their honest experience.
This establishment needs to take a hard look at how it treats people, especially those from diverse backgrounds. I would never recommend anyone support a place that resorts to intimidation instead of integrity.

That David due at the door is definitely on a power trip. He is rude and just seems to make rules up as he goes. We have been there a bunch of times eating food while drinking and waiting for our turn at karaoke and now all of a sudden it’s “ you can’t bring in outside food… and he told me this after I stopped and told him I was going to the food truck BEFORE I got our food.
The KJ was awesome, but David is running away paying customers with his lil power trip. If I could give this less than a 1 star I would, and I will make sure NONE of my folks patronize this bar until changes are made.
You would figure that, based on how empty it was , they would be glad we are bringing food in so we can keep drinking and keep the vibe going. He definitely killed the vibe.

Dude at the door was terrible. If you plan on staying open yall NEED a new door person. Whatever power the business has given him has definitely gone to his head. Will not be back until he's GONE

Local review. Normally love this place and come here a lot. Just be careful if Andrew is the KJ - he’ll take your money to jump the line and then give your song away to tourists. DJ Kitty is much better. If I show up and Andrew is in the booth I’m turning around at the door.
Such a fun time!
We stumbled upon this place by accident and we’re so glad we checked it out! Our group had a great time celebrating a birthday. Fun DJ, good drinks, good vibes. They have a great library of songs, a stage, and several mics. Would definitely recommend to friends!

As the owner of Treme Luxury Experience, I brought a group of 10 guests to this establishment to support what I believed was a local, community-minded small business. Unfortunately, what we encountered was a completely unprofessional and disrespectful situation at the door.
The security guard, David, refused to allow me inside because I didn’t have a physical ID on me, even though I presented my official tour guide license and clearly identified myself as the owner of the tour company. What made this experience even more upsetting was that I personally witnessed him allowing multiple people to enter without showing any ID at all. This felt personal, targeted, and unjustified.
To be treated like this in front of my guests — guests I brought to support this business — was both embarrassing and unacceptable. I do my part to uplift and showcase New Orleans culture, but I cannot and will not support businesses that treat local professionals this way.
I will never bring another tour group here again. If this is how they handle hospitality, I suggest others think twice before giving them their business.

The woman behind the bar with the glasses and curly Afro hair was extremely rude and completely killed the vibe. She would non stop stare and then had the audacity to interrupt our conversation just to tell my friend something that bothered HER. How can you work in a fun environment and be completely stuck up and rude for no reason the entire time we were there.

In New Orleans for a national lawyer conference, tried to come here on 4/25 as a way to enjoy the evening with 20+ lawyers and legal professionals and the bouncer at the door was completely rude and disrespectful to the entire group. He unnecessarily tried to escalate the situation even more into a fight. Needless to say, not worth our time or the possible trouble so we all left. You're much better off heading to more well known areas on bourbon or Frenchmen where locals and travelers are treated much better. Even the few people who managed to see the venue inside said it wasn't great either. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
For the first time in YEARS i managed the courage to decide to sing tonight. On a WEDNESDAY. My friends and I waited over an hour for me to be able to sing. My name was right after my friend…but after a whole hour of waiting, my name got pushed back several spots back. I have never been there in my life, but after this?! I can guarantee I never wanna be back. I came to the dj to ask why my name got pushed back (and to ask to be removed), it’s because the WHITE dude that works there sometimes decided to put some people ahead of me… funny enough that I was singing a song in Spanish by Selena…
Aside from that… the girl at the bar w the cute yellow beret was great and makes great cocktails. So, they have that going for them
Door man David wouldn't accept our ID from Canada even though we were here yesterday. Get off your high horse. People don't go to bars with their passports.
They have sun cruisers! The best drink ever!
The most obnoxious and weird bartender with zero ID knowledge. Read the reviews and didn’t listen and I should have! Never would recommend this place to anyone, go to Prytania Bar instead! Their bartenders can read.
