Overpriced Food Boutique. Menu change was a bad idea, 18% service charge is highway robbery.

Delicious food and amazing service. A vegan restaurant. The charming owner adapted the menu according to our request. We had a lot of fun!

Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan. Vegan hamburger, lots of vegetables and salads.

I Love Love Love this place! I drive from Mississippi to eat here. The owner is very nice, the food is A-Maz-ing! Definitely a must try, even if your not vegan, the menu has something for everyone. Good luck in the Vegan Food Challenge! And please open a location in Gulfport/Biloxi area. It doesn't have to be on the beach. There are a lot of great locations on Hwy 49 or Pass Rd. ?

This restaurant is about one hour from New Orleans by public transport (street car). We took the long journey because of the good reviews after checking the website carefully for opening hours. When we arrived, there was just a paper sign saying 'closed for holidays. This was on August 11 whereas the website stated holiday closure from August 13-16 only. Furthermore, the website provides the menu but without information about prices.

I have a plant-based diet that doesn't include any cooked oils nor any white or gluten flour, however Kindred still offers food that accommodates my dietary needs/restrictions. Additionally, the ambiance really hits the mark, thus making this restaurant a great date spot. Great job!

Dietary restrictions: See my comments.

The food was mostly really good. The menu has great variety. It’s great that they offer mocktails for those looking for that. Drinks were yummy, the cauliflower bites slap. Unfortunately, the service and vibes were very disappointing. We came in with a party of 7 people for dinner on a Sunday night and… First of all, the drinks took forever. We were there for 45 minutes before our drinks all arrived. Then, our food just seemed to come out completely “willy nilly”. It seemed as though the kitchen just kinda maked whatever they feel like making, whenever they felt like making it, in whatever order they wanted to. Other tables got food before us, our appetizers came out completely disorganized, and all the while, the dining room was empty; save 5-6 people at the bar and the 3 other tables of less than 3 people who joined us in the dining area. Our entrees came over an hour after their order was placed, if they came at all. By the time we got to an hour and 30 minutes into the meal, we asked to have the items that had not yet arrived be boxed up and learned then that one of the PoBoys we ordered was never requested from the kitchen by our waitress. I truly am not sure whether to blame the waitress or the kitchen staff but it was a mess in general. On top of that, the plate presentation was lack luster and at some times, gross looking. As a person who has eaten at many vegan restaurants all over the country is always excited to try another, I must say, this was heartbreakingly disappointing.

The dressing on the side salad was the BEST! Everything we had was great. Brussel sprouts, waffle fries, shrimp po boys, and a couple of chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Wonderful-and great service Updated from previous review on 2024-06-24

Kindred had some really tasty vegan food. The Brussels sprouts were incredible (legitimately, one of the best Brussels sprouts apps I've ever had) and the shrimp po boy was really good, too!

The service was great. We got in right at opening and were well taken care of.

I was glad my friends and I made a point to get to Kindred while in NOLA, although it is a bit off the beaten path if you're doing the tourism thing!

So good! The cauliflower poboy was amazing. They also had options for my daughter who has multiple food allergies. The kitchen is very careful not to cross contaminate food.

We ate here twice while we were in New Orleans, and had the pleasure of eating brunch on a Sunday. Fantastic gluten free waffle, and very tasty French toast. I also tried the chickpea tuna salad (excellent), mac and cheese (also excellent), and waffle fries. The vegan burger was not my favorite - if you like impossible or beyond, you will probably not enjoy the patty they use. But otherwise awesome and fantastic service. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing place! I ordered through doordash and ordered the chicken sandwich, yuca fries and the fried mushrooms and Wow!! First the chicken sandwich was super big and delicious. But honestly everything was amazing.. Spiced right and I mean barely could get my mouth over it. Soooo good. You definitely get your money's worth 100%. I was in town for the weekend and by far the best meal I had the entire weekend. Thanks for the wonderful meal.
