I ordered 8 pieces of eel sushi and the price came to $30!
That is absolutely ridiculous! Even at a high scale sushi restaurant eel sushi isn’t this high. They don’t tell you how much your order will be over the phone, once you show up they give the price and it seems they adjust to whatever they want it to be!!

The prices listed on the website are 30% less than what they charge you. The rolls are smalll, This is $20 of a spicy crunchy tuna and Metairie roll. Don’t waste your money.

It’s been a year since I’ve dined in at this restaurant. Our server was friendly. I was not a fan of the tuna roll the fish did not taste fresh. The miso soup was good and so was the crab rangoon.
Just perfect timing... they allowed my unfinished abita (but we ordered saki) and brought out the perfect fresh and savory platter of sashimi and sushi! Service was tops and it was the perfect neighborhood spot after 3 days in the quarter! The salad was ? and i heard the miso was tasty.

I was in the neighborhood and stumbled into this little gem while hungry for hibachi on a Wednesday night. It wasn't too crowded, and the sweet woman who took our order was very patient as we looked over all the delicious looking sushi rolls. Needless to say this wasn't a hibachi place but we got a great assortment of dishes for under $50 which feels like a steal in 2024. I ordered the teriyaki salmon which came with clear soup and salad, shrimp lettuce wraps, and chicken fried rice.

One of my favorite sushi places. Thao is the best. Sushi is fresh and so good. It’s definitely worth the drive from Metairie.
