Delicious Burmese food - my introduction. Nice spicy curry and lovely cold peanut noodles. Would love to go back.

I ordered the Laksa Bowl which was a soup made with chicken, shrimp, and veggie broth as listed on the menu. When I got my meal, I could tell there was coconut milk in the broth, which I have a sensitivity to. I inquired about the amount of coconut milk in the broth, which I figured was probably minimal considering it wasn't listed on the menu, and the employee working took that as an opportunity to talk down to me, and honestly be quite mean. I wasn't pushy or impatient, and I wasn't expecting anything free from this inquiry, I simply wanted to know so I could decicde whether or not I should eat it. As someone who works in the service industry, it was a wild way to treat someone who tipped 30% on a $40 tab.

Excellent experience. Had been watching Uncle Roger so much that it finally hit me to find a Malaysian restaurant in Nola. So glad I found Laska Nola. Excellent authentic food. So flavorful. I cleaned my dish and ramekins. Stellar customer service by the owner. What more can I say? I will definitely return soon and highly recommend this gem. Thank you!

I’ve been missing Burmese food since moving back from the Bay Area, and just discovered Laksa! The tea leaf salad and coconut noodles were so good. The service was awesome and I will definitely be back!

Although named after a Malaysian dish this restaurant serves great authentic Burmese food like Mohinga, Tea Leaf Salad and Ono Khao Swey. Chef Linn is from Myanmar and her food is amazing! …and the laksa is really good too:)

As a native of Malaysia, I can confidently say that Laksa NOLA sells authentic Malaysian food. My dish of choice is Nasi Lemak, but I often get other small things off the menu. The roti canai is excellent as well.
I have dined here many times, and have got to know the business owners (Lin and Alex) over the 6 years they have been open. They are wonderful people and I feel grateful that I had the opportunity to eat at their establishment.
Of note, they also own the Poke/Sushi stall in the same location. I have not tried any of these dishes, but they do all look good.

When I worked at MARFORRES I saw a flyer for Laksa. Then there was the Asian Foodie Fest and had a plate. It was yummy. Then this past weekend I was in the area and stopped to give them a try. Actually turned around and came back to them. Had the shumai and was some of the best shumai I've ever had. Could have used a little ginger I'm the mix but still damn good. Then went with the Laksa bowl. That broth was creamy and perfect. Had the shrimp and chicken with the egg noodles. Asked for it spicy and had to get more of the chili pepper mix. Wish I could have added whatever they top off the shumai with to add a little sweetness but still it was really good and filling. Would do it again.

A hidden Burmese gem in NOLOChef Lin Lin opened a Burmese food stall inside St Roch Market food hall in New Orleans. Despite laksa in the name, most dishes are Burmese. She has a few Malaysian dishes and her own creations too (like omu noodles). Her Burmese dishes are authentic and delicious. I didn’t get to try other dishes. While you are there, check out her other stall Lin’s Kitchen as well.

I tried the rice pudding, which was warm from just being cooked, and it was delicious! Not too sweet, the rice had such a great texture, and the crunch from the peanuts and sesame seeds was perfect.

Ordered the Omu noodles off the board with no pictures or price. Was given a buzzer, which might have been mixed up. Counter person checked it, handled me the silverware for my noodle bowl. Counter person then track me down afterwards to tell me I got the wrong bowl. He reemed me about not knowing my noodles was stir-fried and not a soup. Can't say what that soup was or how it taste, but the Omu noodles was not what I was expected. It tasted like spaghetti sauce, ketchup, and noodles with like 6 small shrimps. Was a bit more on the sour side. Didn't match the picture on their website. Option for spice level of 1-3, and I ordered a 3. It didn't taste spicy, and wishing it would drown out that sour taste. Wanted to like it since it looked authentic, but just not what i was expecting. The mixup kind ruined the experience too.
