I moved to the area about two years ago and after trying many bakeries in the area Levee is my favorite. Not only are their pastries seasonal and delicious, but the staff are al so welcoming and friendly. I live their savory croissants and their seasonally flavored cuffing. They also have fantastic sandwiches, cookies, and bread. You can't go wrong with Levee.

Everything is always exceptional here but arrive early and anticipate the business hours

The line out the door tells you everything to need to know about the food! Get there, EARLY!!!! You'll be waiting in line that'll bring back memories of concerts... The savory scones, breakfast biscuit sandwich, and the prosciutto were some favorites during my time in town! The people that ran the counter were incredibly friendly and personable every day we stopped by!

The coffee is great and so are the pastries! There was a line outside the door. Be here early to get the goods!

We spent the past week trying to hit the best pastry places in New Orleans, and this one takes the cake (erm, croissant)! We tried four pastries - all creative and top-notch. Our favorite by far is the potato croissant. Now, I wasn't planning to get it originally. But someone in line next to us did us a huge favor and recommended it to us. I'm so glad we trusted them! So I hope you'll give it a go too. It's my top pastry of the year so far, and we like to search out this sort of thing.

The only area for improvement for me would be the drip coffee. They use a local roaster, but I think there are better options in that department around here.

Biscuits were overdone on the outside but underdone inside. Soo dry.

Been wanting to visit here for ages, arrived late so not much left but what we had was delicious, especially enjoyed the Pecan chewy.
Good coffee, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, a must visit when in New

In town for a wedding, tasked to bring fun things for an informal wedding prep event the day before. I’m admittedly a bakery snob, that annoying person that insists the Americans put too much sugar in everything, especially baked goods (yes, the irony is I am also American).

After light research, swung by Levee. Was a tiny bit suspicious because most of the pastries were the size of a small child’s head. Grabbed several classics (pain au chocolate, croissants) and made a last minute call to snag two of their jamon y beurre baguette sandwiches.

Omg. Those sandwiches. Overall everything was a hit but that sandwich…the perfect ratio of salty ham to soft Brie cheese, the acidic bite cornichons, the crusty baguette. Delivered by a lovely woman who gently sang my order (which didn’t know I needed in my life).

I went back every day of the wedding weekend. And just finished the final sandwich at the airport.

Until next time Levee.

Their London Fog pastry was so good. Flaky pastry with Earl Grey glaze, crushed pistachios, and blood orange zest. I still crave it.

The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The chocolate croissant and cinnamon rolls are amazing!! The cinnamon roll does have a sugar coating instead of a glaze and the dough is more croissant like but it’s a delicious take on cinnamon rolls. The baguette is sour dough which I didn’t realize but still really delicious. The olive flatbread wasn’t my favorite but worth a try. The brownie was chewy in texture but has clumps of some kind of oil (maybe coconut? Not sure) and wasn’t as chocolatey or as fudgey as I like my brownies. Lastly, the chocolate chip cookie is OMG. One of my new favorites and I will be back just for this!!!

We had the seasonal croissant which was an everything pastry with cream cheese and shishito peppers. It was the best pastry we tried all trip, and that’s saying a lot! The shishito acted almost like a pepper jam to the cream cheese. It was SO good.
