The owner is rude . I understand things are busy and you trying to get people in and out but I guess. She just seemed so short wind. The food is phenomenal.

Wow!! What a great place and fantastic food and friendly service. Stopping here made my trip to NOLA complete. Had the fried chicken, gumbo, and bread pudding. Everything is excellent. If I ever come back this will be at the top of my list. Really awesome experience.

After doing a little research, reading and hearing about Lil Dizzy's Cafe having the BEST fried chicken in NOLA I had to make getting over there a priority. Let me tell yall Lil Dizzy's did not disappoint, they are most certainly a top contender for the best fried chicken in New Orleans. I've visited a handful of times now and their fried chicken is absolutely on point. Consistently delicious! Flavorful, juicy, fresh, fried to perfection. Eating here will have you spoiled and comparing every other fried chicken joint to Dizzy's. They have set the benchmark. Customer service and hospitality has been A1 on every visit, even during peak lunch rush. Never waiting more than 10-15 mins for my order. The dining room is always packed, full of life, with that awesome New Orleans vibe. Cheers to management and the staff for running Dizzy's like a well oiled machine.
On my first visit, I decided that I would take my 30 min lunch break and head on over. When I pulled up, I kid you not there was a line that stretched from the front door and ran up the city block. I immediately thought to myself.. WOW! This has to be the spot and at the same time thinking there's no way that I could wait in that line and make it back to work on time. To my surprise Dizzy's has setup a TO GO window with a covered patio on the other side of the building. I found a spot to park and jumped in line. I ordered Eddie's Famous 4 piece Fried Chicken with a side of fries and a Coke Zero. They had me out of there in just under 15 mins. It was a GREAT first impression and experience. They've locked me in, and have earned themselves a new loyal customer. Keep doing what yall are doing, EXCELLENT job.
If you're in the area dont cheat yourself, treat yourself to Dizzy's for lunch. You wont be disappointed.

My wife and I got to the resturant at around 2pm and had to wait in a line for about 20 minutes. When we got inside we were kindly greeted and loudly informed that they were out of catfish and red beans and rice. I'm only saying this to inform you to get THERE EARLY as they close at 3PM. After sitting in the waiting area for about 20mins we were giving a table. Our waitress was Candace and she was very hospitable, attentive, and gave us some excellent recommendation. Due to them being out of the some menu items we decided to order the shrimp platter. I got the mac and cheese and dirty rice and my wife got greens and mac and cheese for our sides. The shrimp was SEASONED you hear me!!! Not just breaded, but SEASONED to perfection. The dagum dirty rice was hittin fa sho. The flavor smacked my taste buds like I ain't never ate dirty rice in my life. Man that was good! I want some more right now. The greens and mac hit too. But, if I had to rank the sides I'd go 1. Dirty rice 2. Greens 3. Mac and cheese.
For drinks we chose the Strawberry and Mango lemonades. I perferred the Mango. Last, but not least, was the bread pudding. Dizzy's now has a bread pudding super fan in my wife as theirs is rasin-free. The first bite of that pudding made me laugh as again my tasts buds were overwhelmed. I was not expecting that boom of flavors. All the other bread puddings I've tested since my arrival have nothing on Li'l Dizzy's...and you can take that to the bank.

Worth the hype! We’ve been in NOLA for about a week now, eating our way through the city and this place is on our top ones and we’ll definitely visit again. The food was well seasoned a full of soul. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had the catfish jourdain, Mac and cheese, yams, crab cakes, greens, bread puddling and lemonades. Our faves were the catfish and the lemonade. 10/10
