My friend booked a reservation here for her birthday and when we walked in to look for our table, they led us right back outside where they pushed a couple tables together right on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. I was annoyed too because my friend was talking about how she literally booked this place intentionally for the atmosphere and the interior design and she and I bought these nice expensive dresses to wear. I think hers was like $400, only for them to seat us over there. There were cars speeding by and it freezing outside so everyone was uncomfortable. Plus because we were just sitting in the middle of the sidewalk these middle aged people from the tavern next-door kept harassing our table the whole time. The service was odd too. The waitress was very judgmental the whole time and cut the cake pretty immediately so no one could take pictures with it. She also cut it very oddly and it was crumbling apart everywhere. My friend whose birthday it was hasn’t said anything but I know she was really disappointed and upset about the whole experience. I don’t recommend this place at all and we all are likely never coming back.

Good service and a fanxy place for a date. Expensive but they don't require a suit jacket.

This was our second visit to New Orleans — and our second visit to Lilette, which has truly become a must-stop for us.
Our server, David, was energetic, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. The food was fresh and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere struck the perfect balance between classy and fun.
We started with the oysters and, of course, the white truffle Parmesan toast with wild mushrooms — an absolute must-have. The glaze was so flavorful I could practically drink it!

For our entrées, we ordered the Halibut, Snapper, and Lamb Shoulder with Gnocchi. Each dish was delicious, but the lamb stood out — cooked to perfection, so tender it practically melted in your mouth.
Dessert was just as impressive: the Chocolate Pistachio Tart with pistachio ice cream and the Coconut Cake with salted caramel drizzle. The tart is rich and decadent — a dream for chocolate lovers — while the coconut cake was so stunning and delicious I had to stop and take a picture before finishing it.

To top off the night, Chef John, the owner, personally came by our table. He was gracious and humble — and knowing he’s the talent behind these incredible dishes made the experience even more special.
Lilette is a New Orleans gem, and we absolutely can’t wait to return!

We recently visited Nola for our Anniversary. On the second night we ate dinner here. The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. We sat outside. I would highly recommend.

Tuna crudo was not sushi grade as advertised tough and fishy smell, wine is overpriced compared to other restaurants close by for the same bottle. Just not worth the $220 dinner when can get the same quality food for 2 outings that are close by

The atmosphere was great, but we experienced some issues. First, they forgot to bring an ice bucket for our wine bottle, so we had to ask for it again. We waited a long time for our starters, and before they even arrived, our main courses were served — I think they forgot to enter the starters into the system. They took the mains back and brought the starters shortly after, but in my opinion, the broccoli wasn’t fully cooked. We are chefs ourselves, so we understand when things get rushed, but at these prices, we would have preferred to wait a few more minutes and get our dishes properly cooked, especially since our meal was already delayed. For the main course, we had steak. The flavor and temperature were incredible. However, it’s probably not a place we would return to.

I only stopped in for a delicious dessert but the atmosphere was beautiful and the service was lovely. I will definitely go back and enjoy a meal when I have more time because it looks lovely.

This is a local hidden gem in the historic Garden District on Magazine street. Great for lunch or dinner. Fine dining with a support menu. The Kobe Burger is one of my favorites. Old school charm. Most patrons are dressed for success. Come an enjoy Lilettes!

We all know by now that Taylor Swift dined here, which probably explains why it’s so hard to get a reservation these days! The restaurant has a cozy, charming atmosphere and the service was excellent, which made for a lovely evening. The food was good, though it didn’t quite live up to all the hype. We also tried their shrimp and green salad. Fries and the shrimp were my favorite parts of the meal. Still, it’s a nice spot to try at least once.

This is the most authentic French restaurant I have ever eaten at in the United States.

The Prince Edward oysters were overpriced, so small and tasteless. The salad I ordered was not very good.

Several people recommended this restaurant to us, so we decided to bring some friends and give it a try. We were seated on the patio, and our waitress, Terrie, was the highlight of the evening—she was truly fantastic and the one saving grace of our experience.

We started with the oysters and crab claws, both of which were good. For our main courses, we ordered the poule, lamb shoulder, steak, and duck. The poule and lamb were enjoyable, but the steak—served medium rare—was surprisingly tough. The duck, unfortunately, was the biggest letdown; it was so tough it was nearly impossible to cut or chew.

Given how highly recommended this place was, we left feeling disappointed. Perhaps it was just an off night.

The duck breast was absolutely amazing. I had it medium and it was cooked for perfection.
