My family and I walked in for lunch right when a storm was coming through earlier this week. The staff was very helpful and friendly in accommodating us and my son who has special needs. During the duration of our meal, the weather took a turn for the worse; they carried on, had a plan, all team up to work together, went into immediate action to care for not only us but also their staff and restaurant without missing a beat in service. All was well and safe. Also, hands down some of the best fried green tomatoes and gumbo I’ve had in a long time!

If you are looking for a traditional Italian/New Orleanian restaurant, then this is it! My friend and I went there to have spaghetti and meatballs ?. It was very good. The red sauce has a meaty-flavor. A small salad came with the main dish. We were there for lunch on a Wednesday and it wasn't busy. After 12:30 pm.

We ordered our food after lengthy wait at a crowded lunch time. But one full hour later we had not even revieved our side salads and the waitress returned and said "I just learned there is no eggplant special." Most of our party had ordered that. The place was half empty by them and there was no excuse for her not having told us earlier. Pitiful experience.

Old time New Orleans spot. We enjoyed special appetizers, red beans and rice, and great gumbo. Good bar scene, okay for kids, TVs for your games.

Great atmosphere with old-style charm. The Cajun gumbo the best!

Nice little local place with plenty to pick from. We had the traditional pizza with a couple things added and it was very good.

I have always been a big fan of this restaurant and I recently stopped in at the bar for dinner and was able to meet the owner Erin. She was great and had amazing suggestions. The gumbo was 10/10 and the entrees were perfect. I will totally be going back for the Monday-Friday happy hour from 4-7 for half off Draft Beer in the amazing frozen mug. Great atmosphere and better food and drinks!

I had never visited Liuzza’s Restaurant and Bar before today. Several friends have recommended it, but I just never made it. I am so happy I finally made it and it will be a regular of mine in the future. There is a very casual atmosphere, great service and excellent food. The Eggplant Napoleon is great and more than I could eat.Vegetarian options: Some seafood and non-meat dishesDietary restrictions: Staff will try to assist with restrictions you make them aware ofParking: Free lot and street parkingKid-friendliness: Fully kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible

Being Italian, I love venturing to all of the various restaurants in the city. It seems that every Italian restaurant has their own version of red sauce. The sauce at Liuzza's is darker than most any other I've ever. However, I like it with a little more seasoning. The Veal Parmigiana is a very generous portion of 2 pieces that I easily turned into 2 meals. The meatballs are about 2 inches in diameter and very flavourful.Parking: Challenging to find parking
