I came in earlier today with my sister, and the older blonde woman working in the kitchen was instantly annoyed the moment she saw us with an outside drink. What bothered me is that I saw other people there with their own outside drinks, but she didn’t say a word to them she only singled us out. While I was about to place my order, she raised her voice in front of everyone and said, “You can take your order, but you cannot stay here at all.” Her tone was harsh and completely unnecessary, like she was trying to embarrass us. My sister and I are Hispanic, and the way she spoke to us and looked at us felt dismissive, rude, and like we weren’t welcome there. It came across as targeted and discriminatory. At that point I just turned to my sister and said, “let’s go somewhere else. They don’t need a single penny from us.”

As an Uber Eats driver who’s been delivering in New Orleans for years, I’ve been to Luca Eats multiple times — and every visit has been the same: long, unnecessary wait times of 15–20 minutes or more.
I came again today, October 30th, and while the front cashier was really sweet and professional, the two cooks in the back were not working diligently to get orders prepared. Instead, they were chit-chatting about things unrelated to work, even as tickets were waiting. That kind of behavior directly causes delays for both dine-in customers and delivery drivers.
It’s disappointing because this place has potential and good food, but the lack of urgency and accountability from the kitchen staff ruins the experience. I’ve given this restaurant plenty of chances over the years, hoping things would improve — but nothing has changed.
Unfortunately, this will be my last time coming here until management addresses these issues and starts treating timely service as a priority.

Visited the United States for the first time, and I am pleased to say that this establishment in particular blew my mind away. For context, I watched Gordon Ramsey’s reality television series “Kitchen Nightmares”, and I learnt that the owners of the restaurant featured in the particular episode also owned Luca’s! Also learnt that before opening, one of the owners Ellen just had a bout with cancer, and had luckily triumphed through that said battle. Because of this, I was really rooting for them, and they delivered with the food.

I ordered my food online and it was ready 40 minutes after it said it would be online. Sandwich came and it looked like someone threw it together. I honestly have not had this bad of a dining experience in a very long time.
Waited an hour and a half for my food. Food was mid at best. The staff wasn’t even apologetic nor did they offer me anything.
I can't say enough about how friendly and genuine my interactions with Ellen at Luca Eats has been. She's responsive and so kind. Our catering order was a hit - we got the Big Luca, a delicious Caesar, veggie tray and the chips!! The food was fresh and delicious. Everyone loved it. I love supporting small businesses like Luca Eats. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be a repeat customer.
Owners are horribly rude and food tastes like frozen garbage.

We went for lunch yesterday and had a salad, a sandwich and two soft drinks. The bill was $ 50 I included a tip, but I learned that a tip was not necessary because there was no service whatsoever. It took a half hour for the food to be prepared and there was one person ahead of us. My wife asked for more dressing for her salad because it was dry and was toldthat it would be $1.50 for extra dressing. We used to love this place, but it is really gone down and Customer Service is not in their vocabulary.

The food is always good and the waffles are the best. Love that French Truck coffee.
It's hard to put stock in a 5 year old review but in May 2025, this place is as good as it's ever been. In addition to the coffee and waffles, the pressed sandwichs are also delicious.

Wouldn’t normally leave a review but had a rude experience with the staff here. I ordered a sandwich with ham and cheese only on it and I specifically told the woman taking my order ham and cheese only and she said got it! I get my sandwich after 20 minutes and it was fully dressed. I politely went to the younger guy working the counter and asked if they could fix it and this older gentlemen that was in the kitchen area not by the counter rudely yells across “did you read the description on the menu where it says what comes on it?” I then replied “yes, that’s why I said ham and cheese only.” He then went to argue with me again saying she didn’t have it on the ticket so I must’ve not made it clear and then another younger girl behind the counter said “No, I heard her tell her she must’ve just not written it down.” I hate even going back to say that it was wrong, but my bill for a coffee and sandwich was $24 and he didn’t have to argue with me in front of 13 other people in the small restaurant.

Absolute best place for a casual brunch or lunch spot in Nola! Perfect for when there’s good weather and you want to chill with some friends. Staff is also very friendly and the food never misses!
