Awesome place! First time going...won't be my last!!!

A real gem in terms of the quality of their food. Great portions and classic soul food. Reminds me a lot of the old praline connection. Very friendly staff. My only complaint is that their AC probably is not working very well and it was a little bit warm and stuffy in there.

I will definitely be coming back though. Everything I had was good and I'm looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

I eat here everytime I'm in the area . Good soul food - calories don't count 😋

This was my first time visiting the restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. The food was amazingly good. The macaroni and cheese tasted like home and the candied yams tasted like old times with grandma. The service was good and the environment was clean and inviting. I have already told family and friends. I will definitely be back!!!!!

Catfish and shrimp were amazing, crispy and hot. The candied yams were great as well and would recommend.

Portions were appropriate to the price (Friday lunch special) and the staff was very kind and friendly. Gave us some recommendations for night life places as this was the first time visiting NOLA. Five stars all the way and will be coming back on my next visit to NOLA.

Visiting New Orleans for work. Missed southern food (have family from Baton Rouge) and was SO grateful to stop here. LOVED the red beans and rice, collard greens, mac’n cheese, fried wings. My gosh. So. Good. The service was excellent and they shared a few tips on other good places to eat.

Moved here from Charlotte NC and I will say this soul food is the closest thing I have tasted here that reminds me of back home. Fried chicken was fries perfect! Season well and crispy like I like it! The yams were sweet and delicious and the potato salad was good as well! Mad I didn’t get anything else cause it was so good. I’m also thankful and grateful for them having very reasonable prices and high quality food! That’s hard to find in this economy! We will definitely be back to try more items.

My order was wrong l asked for chitlins no rice or anything else for a very small portion for $19 was ridiculous

Came in for chitterlings and baby it did not disappoint!!! I came just in time I think they ran out right after my order so if you do have a craving for chitterlings on Thursdays make sure you get there earlier than later. Employees were also really nice the guy that took my order mad nice. I will definitely be back
