Came on Tuesday, not very crowded. Heard they'd won a lot of awards. Well, it is good. Very good. The salad can feed 4 or more. Each Arepas is generous, not really meant to be cut in half and shared, as is our habit. My wife and I often say, I'm torn between A & B, (I'm torn between B & A), so we order both & switch partway through. Amusing sometimes seeing the faces on the wait staff. No Manhattans. Cachasa or Rum cocktails here.Apparently there was recent road repaving causing parking issues. We parked 20 feet to the door, no problem.

This happened a couple years ago but yall need to know. My husband and I went to eat and were sat. When ordering, we informed the server multiple times that I was deathly allergic to eggs and to put it on the side of our food so that I could safely eat and my husband could still enjoy that part. After 45 minutes of waiting for our food to arrive, the egg was there and covering the food. I reminded my server again that I am deathly allergic to eggs and that we asked for it to be on the side, and she said “well the kitchen isn’t going to redo it.” I then couldn’t eat and left starving. No alternatives were offered to me. Will never eat here again.

First time in Nola, this was the first place we ate. Absolutely loved it!! The food speaks for itself, but I really want to take a moment to highlight the EXCEPTIONAL service, lead by Erica. We came in with a larger party, with no reservation. They were able to accommodate us with less than a 10-minute wait, which is extremely impressive!!Immediately Erica stood out as a strong server. She educated us on the menu, gave recommendations based on our food preferences, and really made understanding all they have to offer a very seamless process. Not only did she make the meal enjoyable, her friendly nature made it extremely pleasant to be in the restaurant as well!! She gave recommendations on local spots to visit, and had a ton of tips on getting around. All in all, the food was fantastic and Erica and the rest of the service staff were even better. In a city of millions options, just know this one will be a wonderful option!! Make sure you ask for Erica!!!!!

What a nice surprise! We had a lovely dinner at this Colombian restaurant, starting with a wonderful crab leg appetizer DELICIOUS. The stuffed arepas were great too, and filling. I can't wait to return and try some of the soups and entrees! Restaurant is in a wonderful old building in a neighborhood that is changing-lots of new housing built in a traditional style. Staff is very friendly and accommodating! Thanks for a very nice evening!

First time in NOLA and my friend recommended this place from a prior visit. The food was phenomenal, extremely fresh and flavorful, and so satisfying. The portions were just right, and I didn’t leave feeling like I ate too much or too little. The flavors were sensational. The service was outstanding as well. We were seated right away, and our server was very attentive and so kind. It was a great experience all around! I highly recommend!

Everything is good but why does it take 25 minutes to make an arepa?

This is the best restaurant in New Orleans! Every dish we had was incredible. Dont leave this city without trying out Mais! You’d be doing yourself a disservice.

I would make reservations just to be safe, this place can get pretty packed during dinner time. Authentic Colombian food and great service!
