OMG!! For someone who dies not normally enjoy Ribeye, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed the Cote de Boeuf! There was enough on the plate to share, but my wife cannot eat red meat (lucky me, right?!?). The creamed potatoes was light and fluffy, but had enough texture that it wasn't biting into a cloud.
Deanna's dish was super yum, but she didnt let me have more than one bite. Poisson a la Florentine was drum tonight, and we finished dinner with the rice pudding.
The service was top notch and very attentive to our needs. The GM stopped by a few times to make sure we were happy, and the owner stoped by to thank us personally before we headed back to our hotel.
The price was in line with our expectations and would definitely recomend returning for an upscale date night. Reservations are a must, as this is a small venue, but so well worth the visit!

This is a must-visit restaurant if you are in New Orleans! From the moment we contacted Alex to get a reservation to the moment we walked out the door after our meal, the experience was incredible. This quaint restaurant has beautiful decor and top-notch staff. Our server, Ashley, was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond while serving us.

The food was incredible. We started with the calamari, braised celery hearts, and the risotto for our party of six. Everything was delicious, but the calamari was out of this world. We have never had calamari prepared like this, and this is a must get when you visit.

Our meals were just as delicious. We got the pork loin, gulf fish, and the cote de boeuf. All of the dishes were prepared to perfection. The cote de boeuf was presented table side and was my favorite of the meal. Will definitely be getting that again when we go back.

Since we were a party of six, we ordered all three desserts for us to try. They also did not disappoint. Light and delicious with just enough sweetness for your after-dinner craving.

I can't say enough great things about this gem. The food is amazing, the staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly, and the decor is beautiful. The chef and his staff do an amazing job, and I highly recommend you visit when you are in New Orleans. we will definitely be back!

We so enjoyed our dinner at Mamou. The hostess called me ahead of time to confirm she understood my allergies, and then spoke with the chef in advance to ensure they could accommodate me (I have more than a few, including gluten and nuts)! The server was very kind and explained everything thoroughly, and on top of that the food was delicious! My husband is a huge fan of French food and he was giddy. The mushroom risotto was divine.
This restaurant is a charming little spot right across from Armstrong park and the decor is lovely too.
Thank you, staff at Mamou!!

I truly believe MaMou deserves to be recognized as a Michelin-star restaurant.

From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by the attention to detail in the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the way every element worked together. The staff anticipated needs before they were spoken, and their professionalism elevated the entire experience.

The food itself was nothing short of extraordinary. The presentation was artful, but more importantly, every bite delivered.

New Orleans is a city known for its food, this is some of the best in the world.

Mamou was a wonderful dining experience! The exceptional food, service and atmosphere made for a memorable night. The service was warm and attentive. The poisson à la Florentine and tuna tartare were standouts! The wine list is thoughtfully curated and the cocktail menu is creative. I loved the La Vie En Rouge! We look forward to returning soon.

Comfortable atmosphere with pleasant music. Classic but satisfactory service. Incredible food and even better dessert.

We had an amazing meal! We had Poisson A La Florentine (drum fish) and Gulf Fish a la Royale (striped bass). Both were just excellent! Several reviews mentioned the bread service, so I got that when I usually don't, but was glad we did! The service, drinks and atmosphere were also perfection. We definitely will return when next in New Orleans!

Absolutely wonderful space, top notch service, and delicious complex dishes.

Lucked into selecting MaMou from list of recommendations I received and will definitely return to try more of their dedicated menu and daily specials. Ask for recommendations based on your preferences or just dive in if you're feeling adventurous - there's no wrong answers!

PS the artichoke hearts with beef tongue was my absolute highlight for the night. Don't be afraid - trust your chef!

Amazing experience! Brian was our server and he was knowledgeable, gave great recommendations and friendly. The gulf fish was so delicious! The steak tartar has a heavy mustard taste to it but also delicious. Definitely want to go back.

Really understated and lovely restaurant. Staff and service is beyond excellent and the food is stellar. The dining room is intimate without being noisy. Small but interesting food and cocktail menus.

Each dish has a really interesting and unexpected element that stands out. I recommend trying lots of small plates vs. getting an entree. Huge wine selection and the cherry chouffe beer is easily overlooked but a great option. If I had to nitpick anything it’s that I’d put some sort of cubed ham in the garlic soup vs sliced; just so it’s easier to eat with just a spoon.

Dress code is officially casual, but most diners are well dressed. I’d avoid not having a collared shirt to avoid standing out.

The place is cute and the servers super friendly and informative. The negative is the cost - personally, I think the food itself is very overpriced. It was nice, but very expensive. Also, not a great selection of non-meat options, but I guess that was on me for not checking beforehand
