This is the best food I’ve had in ages! The restaurant is very cozy and has a wonderful vibe. We sat at the bar and the bartender was lovely! Highlights for us were the blue cheese charlotte, the shrimp and crawfish tart, and the poisson. Divine — I cannot wait to return!

We have coming to New Orleans for many years, and were excited to go to this highly rated restaurant. We walked away a bit disappointed. The service and atmosphere atmosphere was great, but the food was just ok. My wife had the quail risotto, I had the pork loin. They were both very rich, under seasoned, and very brown dishes with nothing to lighten them up. Not terrible, but just a bit disappointing. We enjoyed three other meals at other bistro like places much more this trip. A for effort , and they were working hard and kind, but just lacking in flavor for us.

This was the best meal I have ever had hands down. Every detail possible was thoughtfully executed. Our table wasn't quite ready when we arrived (we were early) and we were greeted with beverage service while we waited. The restaurant itself is beautiful and cozy, with the volume being a perfect level. The drinks were so perfect, very much gave New Orleans style cocktails an elevated touch. We ordered basically everything on the menu, and were continuously blown away course by course. The highlights for our group were the braised celery hearts swimming in a rich tomato broth, the stuffed quail with chow-chow and “risotto”, and the fish/beef dishes. Our server was fantastic and paced everything so well. We finished off with some complementary house-made Lemon-cello that was the perfect ending to the best culinary-hospiltaity experience I have ever endured. Thanks, MaMou; We will be back!

If you love unique and exquisitely delicious food, you must go to Mamou. The atmosphere, food service, attention to detail, and of course the food was an experience we won’t forget. Every dish was beautiful and a culinary delight. We were fortunate to have many dishes on the menu including an incredible steak, quail risotto, both fish dishes, and several small plates including the escargot tartlet, the celeriac remoulade pain Perdue, the braised celeriac with beef tongue, and the cassoulet. Even the bread service was divine. The wine selection complimented every dish perfectly. We’ve dined at restaurants all over the world and we count Mamou at the top of our list of perfect dining experiences.

I can't say enough great things about Mamou: from beginning to finish, it was the most pleasant dining experience, and the most gracious people provided service that was unparalleled to any other place I've ever been! Both food and drink landed sensational flavors that wowed the palate. It is rare to find dining establishments that satiate one's appetites rather than cloying. Everything was nothing less than impeccable. On top of it all, our server was exceptionally knowledgeable of everything we could have thought to ask, and he was also kind enough to recommend live music nearby, following our meal.My wife and I celebrated our first year anniversary there and feel every cent spent was worth the trip. We WILL return again!Parking: You may have to circle the block once or twice to find someone that may be leaving so you can park; be prepared to walk a block or 2 if you can't find a spot close. It's not that difficult to find a place, just a tad tricky. I reiterate, though: this spot is worth it!

Loved our server, she was casual and personable funny and nice. She had great recommendations and added to our night and over all experience. The chef visited the table which was very sweet. The food was amazing, elevated but also unique to New Orleans which I really appreciated. I really felt like everyone who worked there including the owner cared and was proud of the place and they should be. I’ll be back next visit to the city from Canada and tell all my friends who ask.

A delightful evening. Everything we ordered was delicious. The Celeriac Remoulade and Blue Cheese Charlotte were highlights. Such positive, attentive service. Will return when we are back in NOLA.

We reserved MaMou’s instantly after we decided on NOLA for our birthday celebration. We were looking forward to a charming and elegant French meal. Upon arriving we instantly felt unwelcome - the hostesses were very disorganized and told us we couldn’t go to the bar to wait for our table to be ready. When we returned, closer to our reservation time the hostess tried to seat us but the other hostess made us get up we were asked to stand aside and given menus but no one took our order for drinks. A short wait later, we were pointed to our tables and told to bring our menues. Our waiter was not very friendly. The food was generally good (the soup was luke warm but I never complain or send things back; my fault for ordering). I told them we were celebrating a birthday in the reservation and asked for a nice table. No asked or made mention of any special celebration. I observed the waiter complaining to the hostess about my request to not keep filling my wine glass to the top after I took a sip. Even though there were plenty of employees, our empty plates sat on our table far too long. They did a good job of keeping our sparkling water filled but towards the end, they filled them less and less. It’s unfortunate, as we were really looking forward to this meal and celebrating at this restaurant but I would not recommend it nor return.

The food, environment, and staff at Mamou were simply exquisite!!! Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Our waiter, Brian, was an absolute gem. He was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and had a wonderful personality to make the night unforgettable. Overall, I cannot recommend Mamou enough for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. The combination of delicious food, excellent service from Bryan, and a charming atmosphere made for a truly incredible evening. I will definitely be returning to Mamou soon!!

I had their amazing signature starter (celeriac remoulade), very tasty bread service, and a cocktail I'm still thinking about. I had their signature entree, the pouisson, which I found less sophisticated than the other three items and a bit rich and one note almost bordering on wedding food. But the rest of it was so delicious, and the atmosphere and service so fantastic, that I can't wait to come back.
