I mistaken Melba's for Genes. Yeah it was a no for me. Terrible food. Highly disappointed. Even the daiquiri was nasty. I had a dry poboy and dry chicken wings. I asked for saucy wings and they advised that they were not serving them. Not sure why.

The old black lady (short bald headed) who works the Daiquiri area has the most nastiest attitude!! To the owners of this establishment, you might want to reconsider hiring a new staff because she does not know your products!!! I asked what is inside one particular flavor and she goes off into having an attitude saying SHE DONT KNOW AND BCUZ ITS MARDI GRAS IT SHOULDN'T MATTER!!! What kind of response is that to tell to a customer who wants to know what they are buying??!! Today is Feb 15th @ 9:30pm... She's the only one working that area. She needs to be fired with that attitude.... Im a social media influencer with over 1 million followers, I would hate to bring this to my followers!! This city has to do better when it comes to CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will be reaching out to the owners of this establishment to follow up as well.

Im sure the food would have been good if it wasn't cold by the time we got to eat. We waited on our food for an hour

Pretty disappointed by my most recent visit (I’m a local who even does laundry here sometimes)..
1. kiosk says they will text you when your food is ready. They don’t. They just yell out your name. Which is fine if you are INSIDE. I was outside waiting for a “text” that never came.
2. If you want instant Type 2 diabetes, then I recommend the red beans and rice (mostly rice). I mean, DAMN. Does it have to be SO salty??
3. The hamburger was the most bland mediocre thing I’ve eaten in a while, plus they didn’t put it on the brioche bun that I paid an extra $1 for either. Oh well.
Takeaway- if you’re super drunk and it really doesn’t matter anyway, this place is fine (if not a little overpriced). Do better Melba’s. A little more effort on your part would go a long way towards living up to that claim of being ’one of best blah blah in America’ that blasts out of your PA system.

Honestly the food was trash. I got red beans that was sour. The gumbo wasn't good at all. The poboys where good. The food on the line should have been refreshed because it looked dry. I think they used to cook good but it's on reputation from the past.

I've tried breakfast lunch and dinner here and the breakfast is by far the best thing to order. The hot food on the steam table is bland the catfish poboy is lacking flavor as well. I've been going to Melba's for a while now and the quality of the food is lacking.

Food is okay, has been better. Strong daquiris, good specials. Why does it take so long to box up food that I can see is ready and right there? Always be ready to wait for your food. Really good butter drops, and big servings with all plates.
