Gregory is a gracious host and an amazing chef! What I loved most about this evening was how local all of the food was. It was so fresh and well curated. The shrimps were juicy and HUGE! If this were a restaurant, it would have a Michelin star for sure. The first dish of blue crab gratin will be in my memories for the rest of my life.
The atmosphere is one of a kind, with a live band and great hospitality and humor from Greg. I would recommend everyone experiences authentic cajun food and culture in this way.

We had a few delicious appetizers, a fresh shrimp boil, and dessert - all homemade from scratch by Gregory. A lovely 2 piece jazz band played while we ate in an intimate setting at picnic tables. There was no “cabaret” or “musical” show. It was a different type of experience and it seems to be slightly different each time. It may not be for everyone. We really enjoyed ourselves and would do it again.

This was our favorite experience in New Orleans. I love food experiences like this—where you don’t just eat incredible food, but also learn about the history of the regional cuisine and hear the stories of how everything makes its way to your table.
We started with a crab gratin made with crabs from Bayou La Batre (yes, like Bubba), followed by alligator sausage and a crawfish sweet potato topped with a rich, buttery sauce. The pièce de résistance was the shrimp boil: gigantic brown shrimp, fresh off the boat, cooked to perfection and impeccably seasoned. I could actually taste the clove, which added a wonderful depth of flavor I hadn’t experienced in a boil before.
Dessert was a traditional Christmas bouille—lightly sweet and the perfect way to end the meal. We don’t eat pork, and Gregory accommodated us seamlessly with advance notice. The Slick Skillet Serenaders added to the atmosphere with their traditional tunes, making the whole evening incredibly fun.
I would do this once a week if I could. Thank you, Gregory.

This was such a cool experience! The food was amazing and I really appreciated the info Mister Gregory gave about the tradition behind it. We met some really interesting people too. The only suggestion I had would maybe be to do place settings? Because some groups were odd numbers it made it hard for some parties to sit together. But this was a very unique experience I would totally recommend and do again!

You really feel like your receiving a warm authentic New Orleans welcome and the food Gregory prepares is amazing! Highly recommend Gregory's Shrimp Boil Cabaret! P.S. You will certainly walk away with a full stomach! And Gregory is a great source for restaurant recommendations. His recommendation of Coops was spot on!

This is an amazing cajun food experience. As Mr. Gregory said you won't get this food anywhere but in a real cajun household. This meal is about keeping traditions alive and also some history about cajun food. There were three tastings of different cajun dishes before the shrimp was laid out. It's a delicious spicy meal. We will be back. Thank you Mr. Gregory. I could really see the emotion you felt about the Mississippi River Delta and the food you make.
