My wife and I attended supper at Mosquito Supper Club this evening and I can safely say that it was my favorite meal I've ever eaten. We sat at a communal table and had a wonderful conversation with the other diners. The food was tremendously good, presented beautifully, and we left stuffed after four courses. We had so much fun and couldn't believe how delicious everything we ate was. Without a doubt the next time we come back to New Orleans we will dine here again, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a real, honest, authentic meal served with thought and care.

The most phenomenal meal I've ever had in my life. If you're balking at the price tag: just do it. I promise it's worth it.

Oh goodness. Just divine. Very much a love letter to new orleans cuisine. Many things reminded us of an elevated version of mammaw's cooking. Wine and alcohol list was impecable. Non-alcoholic beverages were best of the week we spent in nola.

One of the best meals I have had in my entire life. If you can get past the high brow and pretentious attitude of some of the customers here, then you will be able to treat yourself to one of the best meals you will have in your entire life. The service, ambiance, and vibes (except for some of the other customers) here are great. But you come for the food and the food is amazing. There's no fancy Michelin restaurant technique and plates for instagram here. It's just food with amazing flavor that makes you feel like you're getting a real home cooked meal by grandmom. The food will transport you home or at least the feeling of being in someone's home and getting the best home cooked meal of your life. It's pricey, yes, but the money goes to support the staff having a quality life and the high quality of the food. It's worth every penny.

This might possibly be the best meal I’ve ever had. The food was absolutely spectacular - I highly recommend getting oysters to start. Everything was amazing tho - incredibly fresh and flavorful. The service and ambience were also both fantastic. Our waitress was super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was very romantic. We had a private table, but I imagine the communal one would be super fun!Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

This is a wonderful restaurant for the food and the experience. The four stars for food are being given vs. five because of the price point, but it was pretty great. Google needs to let reviewers give fractional stars.Melissa Martin's ideas expressed in this restaurant are just so cool. The setting, in this old home where you sit and dine with other customers, was fun for us. I am not going to review each dish because the offerings are always changing, and the customer is not choosing what's served. The numerous courses with excellent local seafood were great. I really enjoyed the rabbit pie entree. It reminded me of hunting them in north Mississippi and my grandmother cooking them. Our dessert was ice cream. I didn't think ice cream on a night in the 40Fs in Louisiana was a seasonal choice. So far, during our first post-pandemic visit to NOLA, this has been the highlight, and it's been a great trip.

In a restored New Orleans house, this charming restaurant was a perfect place for my birthday. Excellent wine, cocktails, food and service. We were, as per my request, seated on the screened in porch. Quieter than the rest of the restaurant, it had a pleasant breeze. Heaters kept us warm. In spite of the February chill outside, I was comfortable in shirt sleeves. We started off with sweet potato biscuits with Steen syrup butter. Delicious! The crab claws were plentiful and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp were huge and tasty. They gave us a special lagniappe appetizer- raw oysters and caviar. Wow! The oyster soup was OK. The last course of duck ( crispy and delicious), stuffed cabbage rolls, and winter salad was a hit. My daughter, who doesn't eat salad, loved it. The meal was finished off with a creamsicle. Light and creamy, with a delicious crunch alligator shaped cookie. I can't wait to go back!

This is a great spot for a night out with amazing food surrounded by a cool southern atmosphere. You can opt to reserve a spot inside our out with a flat rate for the full course or just walk in and choose items as you like from a limited menu. The service was fast and efficient, the food was high quality and not overwhelming in size, and the location is quiet and elegant.

Excellent dining experience! One exception had a table of 10 beside Us that was Louder, then Loud! (Parents never taught them to have inside voices.) But once they left...it was perfect!

Quite honestly one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Perfectly paced, impeccable service, with something surprising at every turn. The oyster soup was unlike anything I’ve ever had, with intense, deep, briny flavor. The marinated crab claws were like crab lollipops - a generous bowl of them. The duck confit was succulent with delicious crispy skin, and the cabbage roll was a perfect complement. The wine pairing brought everything together very nicely.

We had a great experience at Mosquito Supper Club. It is located at a standalone historic house in a residential neighborhood. We were greeted at the door and were promptly seated. We had our own separate table, but the restaurant also offers communal tables which is great for those who like to interact with fellow diners. Overall the food and the service was great. Our server was very informative when selecting our wine and did a great job explaining the various menu items as they were served. Hard to pick a favorite but the oyster soup and the pickled shrimp were really memorable.Note that the restaurant is easily accessible from the French Quarter/Central Business District via the historic St Charles Streetcar and a short walk.So the trips to/from the restaurant really complete the experience.

Best dinner experience in New Orleans. The secret garden dinner club. There is a vintage kitchen pots and pans store next door as well.

I struggled a bit to write this review, because I wanted so badly for this meal -- our last dinner in NOLA at the end of a week-long visit -- to be fantastic. But I think my expectations were too high, so a few minor things left me feeling "meh" about the experience. As others have noted, I felt a disconnect between the sort of "take it or leave it" attitude on the booking website vs the welcoming tone of the host when we arrived. I had to psych myself up just to make the reservation (could I, as the website said, "handle" their philosophy and rules?) -- so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I resolved to follow the directions on the website, "check [my] energy" and try to enjoy the experience, and walking up to the house and settling in, the ambience was warm. The food was good, and some dishes -- the biscuits, the duck confit -- were terrific. But others (including, unfortunately, the oyster soup) were unremarkable or didn't seem cohesive within a course. I'm glad we chose the non-communal dining option, although we were seated next to it. And sadly, one of those patrons spent a *long* time, at several moments during dinner, bragging to the sommelier about their own travels and wine purchases, which kinda killed the mood for me. I realize that's not MSC's fault...but it was disappointing, and the food and service weren't enough to wow me.
