Honestly, I was expecting more flavor for a mom-and-pop place. The grits were really bland. I did ask for butter on the grits, and she told me the butter was already on them, but it didn't look like much by the time I opened it up and looked at it. The pork sausage link was a bit chewy and had a weird aftertaste. And the eggs—I LOVE EGGS—but these eggs almost made me gag, especially once I started trying to break them down and noticed the discoloration in the scrambled eggs and bit into the texture. 🤢 But I will say his donuts are a 10/10.

We stopped by this morning and everything we tried was amazing!! The beignets were delicious and life changing, the king cake was the perfect amount of sweet and fluffy, and my husband was completely satisfied with his shrimp and grits that he ordered. We will definitely add this location to our regular stops when we travel through!
You know it's hard for me to love Algiers but this hidden gem in Algiers just makes me appreciate the city a little more. Mr Bs Bakery has to been thee best donuts I've ever had ! And trust me I tried a few all over the West Bank I didn't know the best was just a few more exits away. Maybe it's just my timing But every time I go there and order myself a treat is always hot and fresh and yes I'm gatekeeping when it comes to them. Sorry, y'all can have coffee & ?
