Honestly, I was expecting more flavor for a mom-and-pop place. The grits were really bland. I did ask for butter on the grits, and she told me the butter was already on them, but it didn't look like much by the time I opened it up and looked at it. The pork sausage link was a bit chewy and had a weird aftertaste. And the eggs—I LOVE EGGS—but these eggs almost made me gag, especially once I started trying to break them down and noticed the discoloration in the scrambled...
I usually love Mr. B’s but I now know to get anything else but the waffle plate. There was a picture of Belgian waffles advertised and I received 3 Eggo waffles on my plate and very tiny sausage pieces. $12-13
We stopped by this morning and everything we tried was amazing!! The beignets were delicious and life changing, the king cake was the perfect amount of sweet and fluffy, and my husband was completely satisfied with his shrimp and grits that he ordered. We will definitely add this location to our regular stops when we travel through!
