Good food and great vibes. It wasn’t quite as amazing as my first visit, but it was still solid and flavorful. Service and atmosphere were on point. I’d definitely come back and give it another try.

The food is great but there have been two times when I’ve arrived to the restaurant before 6:30 pm and the door was already locked although they advertise to close the place at 7 pm.

Paid for a catering order to be served at a wedding. They dropped off the food and left. I called the owner and they lied about the entire situation meanwhile they were on camera at the venue. Horrible customer service horrible business would never support again.

A $25 bowl of EXTREMELY SALTY FOOD, the bowl consisted of chicken, beef and shrimp. I would not recommend for any one w/ high blood pressure.

Very fast service. The yakamein has a lot of flavor. The broth is what sets it off. Must try!!

A friend recommended me to try Yaka Mein in NOLA. Did not find any next to the French Quarter, so I walked all the way to the Yaka Mein House. It’s not a proper restaurant, more like a fast food place. But this did not stop me from ordering one of the multiple Yaka mein options.
Expectedly, the meal was ready very quickly. And it was tasty! A really rich brought and good selection of spices made this (fast) Yaka mein a real positive surprise. The ambience is not very appealing, but if you just focus on the meal, it’s actually worth it!

Authentic New Orleans Comfort with Real Flavor and Heart

I stopped by Yakamein House while running errands, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the aroma tells you this place is serious about flavor. The menu proudly showcases authentic New Orleans cuisine, and you can feel the heritage behind every dish. I ordered the shrimp yakamein, and it was pure comfort in a bowl—rich, savory broth layered with depth, perfectly cooked noodles, tender shrimp, boiled egg, and fresh green onions sprinkled on top. The balance of spice and seasoning was spot-on, that Creole warmth that makes you pause between bites just to appreciate it.

The staff was friendly and patient as I took in the options, the interior was spotless, and the overall vibe was laid-back but full of soul. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place clean, organized, and true to its roots.

If you’re craving something that feels homemade but restaurant-ready, this is the spot. Whether you’re from New Orleans or just passing through, Yakamein House deserves a visit. I’ll definitely be back to try the oxtail yakamein next time—because this place? It’s the kind of comfort food that stays with you long after you leave.

Wasn’t the best and took 20min even though no one was there. Had the Shrimp Yakamein because they ran out of beef. Didn’t taste like Yakamein at all. No flavor. Slightly spicy water and noodles. Wouldn’t come back for the Yakamein. Staff was nice just slow so plan accordingly
