This is a must for traveling to NOLA. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect. In addition to dining, please check out their upstairs and inquire about the history.
We both did the three course meal. The carbonara and shrimp crepes were OUTSTANDING. The pork chop was delicious...the chicken not so much. I should know better. The chocolate pecan tart was in my top three best desserts I've ever had.
It was good overall until we got to finishing our meal and waited about 20 minutes for desert to come out. Meanwhile the Birthday girl was fading (she was celebrating a grand 80+ birthday) and had pain from the chairs. Things were going well until they just sort of forgot about us. It did not make a good impression and spoiled what could have been a lovely time. Our server was more interested in being defensive rather than being attentive and definitely no apologies offered.
