Just an old fashioned beer joint with charm. Today’s special was a pint of beer with half a muffuletta for $7. Thank goodness I didn’t order the whole. It was delicious.

Food was just standard, nothing memorable or worth going back for. The last time I went there was a girl standing right outside the front door throwing up everywhere so that was kinda gross. I love New York style pizza but it was just lacking here. I tried it another time just cos I felt like giving them a second try but really it wasn't that great.

The crust is harder than a rock perhaps it is due to hiring bums off the street who don't know how to cook..... anything much less than a Pizza .....

One of the few places in the city to get a true slice of NY pizza

No vegan pizza and walked forever to get it during Mardi Gras. Dow do you not have that in 2024. Lame!!!!

So New York Pizza is divided up into two sides so as you face the building they have a restaurant side on the right and a bar side on the left. You can get food on both sides but each side has different hours. I've been eating in this location since before New York Pizza even moved into this building. This spot was actually the last place I ate at right before Hurricane Katrina hit the area. I was always a fan of New York Pizza at their old location and I followed them here when they moved into this current location. In fact I have been far more than just a fan as I used to absolutely love this joint as they had one of the best deals in the city with their $5 pint and slice deal where you could get a pint of beer and slice of pizza! I also really used to enjoy the fact that this place stayed open later at night so you would often find quite a decent crowd of folks in here enjoying some pints and pizza. Unfortunately the insane inflation we have been experiencing ended up killing that amazing deal which had lasted a very long time. The end of that deal also seems to have resulted in fewer folks frequenting this place as often as they used to so they also tend to often close earlier these days. This is still one of the better spots to get some later in the evening/night food and they are also open for lunch as well. They do tasty pizza, lasagna, ravioli etc. and everything else I've had has been very good here.

This place is a nice friendly dive-bar with a good beer selection that also sells really good pizza. Don't go in there expecting white tablecloths and suited and booted waiters, you'll be disappointed. What you get is good, fresh, affordable thin-crust pizza with a perfect (imo) sauce/cheese/bread/topping ratio and friendly, helpful staff. Their $6 for a pint and a slice lunch special is great, especially for a hungry and thirsty construction worker like me. Highly recommended.

This place is inconsistent. 50/50 shot at a good pizza. This time, pizza had very little cheese and was way over cooked! I’m done.

Oh they the best.Been eating there for about 10 years not so much as I used to because I live out of country. However, when I come back to thr states, and to my favorite city, I go here for a slice and pint.

Pizza was tasty and hot to go. Toppings were plenty. Crust was thin and crunchy which I actually liked for something different. Cheese bread was overrated in my opinion. Service was fast for to go order.
