The Old Absinthe House is a staple in New Orleans and a must-visit when you're in town. While the bathrooms could use a bit more attention to detail, the drinks and overall vibe are fantastic. The historic atmosphere really adds to the experience. Who knows, you might even get lucky and meet the Green Fairy while you're there. It's definitely a place worth checking out for anyone visiting the city.
We had an amazing time working with Old Absinthe House for an event where Magical Memories Entertainment provided Karaoke DJ and Photo Booth services. The venue's atmosphere is absolutely incredible. It's got that perfect mix of historic charm and vibrant energy that makes any event feel special.
One thing that really stood out was how accommodating they were with our equipment needs. The space was perfect for both the Karaoke DJ setup and the Photo Booth, with plenty of room for guests to mingle and have fun. Plus, the acoustics were fantastic, making the karaoke sound awesome and engaging everyone in the fun.
If you're looking for a venue that combines a unique, historic vibe with exceptional service, I highly recommend Old Absinthe House. It's an ideal spot for any event, and we're looking forward to working with them again.

My husband and I are in for our anniversary and as we both love absinthe of course this was our first stop for our first evening out, we had been looking at it from the balcony of our hotel and just couldn't resist :) and OMG!!!!!! we were greeted by the sweetest bartender I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! Her name was Patience and I just can not speak on how absolutely amazballs she was!!!! So kind to her co workers, an amazing attitude, she even took pictures of my husband and I for our anniversary picture album and they were so cute lol we will DEFINITELY be visiting at least a couple more times before heading back home and will absolutely visit again. Next time we find ourselves in new orleans :) 5 stars,10/10 I can't express how enjoyable the experience was!

I ordered a drink that tasted like absolute garbage and when I asked to swap it out I was mocked and tolled they wouldn’t do that because they are on bourbon street and didn’t have to. This was from the managers mouth. Will never go back.
