Orleans Brothers – Small Menu, BIG Flavor!

Let me put y’all on to something real quick—Orleans Brothers is one of those unassuming takeout spots that doesn’t need all the flash to prove it’s got the goods. The menu may be limited, but babyyyyy...!

Gumbo was an experience! First bite was salty then spicy. Almost too salty, and I like salty usually. Lots of meat. Mini crawfish pie was good but just really small for $5, like an hors d'oeuvre. Almost no atmosphere except for the cool restaurant logo, which I think they could print on t-shirts and sell! No tables. Just an empty lobby and counter.

Good, however, the meat was overcooked. I've made it at home and it was just as good with steak and shrimp...But I enjoyed the burst of flavor in every bite.

I don’t have pictures of the meals. But I’m telling the taste of the food is THE BEST!
I would always recommend anyone coming to New Orleans, come to the east and try them out. You won’t be disappointed.

Take out only, but it's still hot when you get home, and that car is gonna smell real good.
Crawfish stuffed potato was big and filled me up so I had to have the gumbo reheated the next day, still good though!

I must’ve come on an off day. Heard about this place and was curious about the yakamein. Hands down, was not the best that I’ve had ever. The eggs were dried up and had shells on it still, I was crunching for most of my chewing. The beef was dried and tough. The broth tasted over done, almost scorched. The noodles were cooked well and the green onion was good. Maybe I got the wrong dish. The young ladies at the front were really sweet and very attending. Nice atmosphere but idt I’ll be going back. If I do give them another try, probably go for a different dish.

Crawfish stuffed baked potato was delicious. You have to get there early because they run out early. But it's definitely good. They're also known for their gumbo, crawfish pies, and yakamein. I haven't tried but others that I know who has says it's good.

Get the crayfish pies. They aren't pies they are pillows of heavenly goodness. Also the gumbo best I have ever had in my life NO OKRA, the rue is rich enough to drink and every single bite had a bit of shrimp, two kinds of sausage, crab chicken and the voices of his ancestors telling him it was ready to serve...but wait he made us try it with a grilled cheese sandwich. Yes you heard me--we dipped it into the gumbo and this is the only way I will eat gumbo ever again. Then I had the crayfish stuffed baked potato. Needless to say the sauce was great, I have no clue what he puts in it, but i tell you this GO to Orleans Brothers. OMG I almost forgot the pralines made by wife. Forget every other place in NOLA for pralines. Zero grit. Rich and creamy and the perfect size for eating an entire container. They will be a go to every time I am in NOLA. Froze my gumbo to bring home! See yall soon

The crawfish pies 🥧 Are the BEST . I’ve been ordering crawfish pies since he was delivering to his customers , very family oriented and when you go into his place of work it’s always a vibe with the music and they always have the tv on and the customer serve is TOP TIER. And has always been ! I love how he has different sizes of crawfish pies but that’s not the only thing you need to try I would suggest you try EVERYTHING ! You would not be disappointed 🔥🥧

I wanted crawfish pies but they where sold out that was the plan.I brought 2 seafood potatos they where horrible the cheese do not compliment the potato,it was a bad choice for me.The parlines was good besides them being a lil old they would have been better if they where fresh.I don't think I will visit here again.

Funny story, we are visiting from Arizona. In an auto parts store, we hear about this amazing Gumbo place. So, we know we have to go. Gumbo was really good. But the pepper with a twist was OMG out of this world. I imagine that the crawfish pie would be mind altering delicious. I see a few more stops needed.

I visited Orleans Brothers for the first time today and decided to sample their full menu, which came to $156.00. Each item ordered was delicious, the personalized service was commendable, and the premises were impeccably clean. The owner deserves recognition for delivering outstanding service, highlighted by the complimentary taters.
