My husband & I were looking for a spare of the moment getaway/reset & thought we’d try the Creole Queen. It left us with a better experience than we could’ve imagined! The beautiful evening scenery & weather was one for the books but the best part was the front row seating where we experienced a full Jazz Band including Kris from the Squirrel Nut Zippers and other amazingly gifted artist, a dance floor to really let loose, delicious cocktails from an amazing bartender...
The experience was great. Sailing on the Mississippi was epic. The jazz band was great. Dinner wax OK. The Gumbo was blah, the drinks had almost no alcohol in them. The brisket was great though. Service was good as well. The bathrooms need a good deep cleaning.
Another one of those tours where I thought I would be bored but 2 1/2 hours later I was pleasantly surprised! The captain entertained us with his melodic storytelling about what we were seeing on the shore. But the best one was his “podcast” style story that he reported on about the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina striking the area in 2005. This guy was good. The boat trip was excellent but the stories we heard were the best!
