Came by Pascal’s on our honeymoon after hearing great things about it - had incredible service from Aaron and amazing food! The BBQ shrimp and key lime pie were our favorites.
Food came out in a timely manner, and everything was delicious! Must come by here!

Absolutely loved visiting this restaurant! Service was superb, the atmosphere reminescent of an Italian restaurant from back in the day and a comforting experience. The drink selection and tastes were on point, the appetizers were well done, but the entrees were hits & misses. While the specialty veal was amazing, the chicken (looked great) but was dry. The fish was well cooked and presented, but the accompaning sauce was just too alcohol forward and watery. The prices were reasonable. I would be willing to visit again as the overall experience was lovely.

Our food was disappointing. I ordered the BBQ shrimp. 2 out of say 10 shrimp that you receive did not have heads....only tails. Could not eat those. The seasoning was off. Our previous visit the food was much better. Our server did a good job.
go for the oysters between 11-3 and if you’re lucky gator will be your shucker. he has amazing presence and charisma and will tailor the experience to you. best and biggest oysters i have ever had in my life! i will definitely come again for the happy hour oysters at the stand up bar. 11/10!

Diners looking for the New Orleans signature dish of barbequed shrimp should look somewhere else other than Pascal's Manale. Shrimp were overcooked and waiter claimed it was probably caused by a change of shifts in the kitchen. Consistent quality should be the standard in such a well-established restaurant, even more surprising considering (as I understand) it is now a Brennan Family restaurant. The spaghetti collins dish was disappointing as spaghetti was overcooked, not al dente and presented on a plate of oil.
I hadn’t visited since Dickie Brennan’s took over, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The turtle soup and wedge salad were the highlights of the meal. However, the BBQ shrimp po’ boy was extremely underwhelming. I ended up removing the shrimp and only eating them. The sauce was oily, watery, and lacked flavor, which was surprising and a first for me. The waitstaff was friendly, but service for most tables in our dining area seemed secondary, as attention was focused on a local chef dining nearby, including excessive fawning and complimentary desserts. The atmosphere itself was pleasant, despite a brief power outage. I attempted to mention the lackluster main course, but staff appeared too preoccupied to address it.

The food looked delicious. Told bartender $48 steak was overcooked and she said I’m sorry and went about her business. One of two bites got spit out and the rest was deemed inedible. Potatoes au gratin were ok, not authentic but good enough. The seafood was fine, not worthy of leftovers. The scallops were too overcooked to eat. Service started humble and ended rather negatively.

Pascal’s Manale is a true neighborhood gem. The staff make it a magical place sitting at the bar and chatting with the bartenders, managers, shuckers, and fellow patrons is always a great experience. The food is consistently good and comforting and you simply can’t beat the barbecue shrimp.

Best bbq shrimp in new orleans, which means anywhere. Great bread pudding, and eggplant.

This time I only visited the oyster bar after walking up from the trolly on Saint Charles Avenue because I was meeting friends for dinner. It is always a treat visiting here, and the parking lot dispels the anxiety of finding a spot on the street.

Hate to post this because I've had better experiences here before. Our server really ruined this experience and I should have gotten the manager earlier, but I was trying to give her a chance to recover. She was slow, messed up several things we had asked for. Never brought us steak knives. Never brought our second round of drinks before our dinner arrived. Forgot to tell us specials (luckily we listened in on another table that had a MUCH better server). She never even asked if we wanted dessert....which we had planned on getting. Food was pretty good, but for the cost of this meal, I expect things to come out at least warm. My shrimp on my fish were ice cold. I did end up telling the manager on the way out, but I should have spoken up earlier. I won't be back unfortunately.

Came here for a birthday party, with a reservation made by somebody else in the party of roughly 12. First impression walking in was a not so great smell, which I later found out was the oyster bar. We were under the impression the extremely tiny room was going to be a private room, but other people were seated in the room. Two of our party had to sit at a separate table due to our pushed together table being overcrowded, and people smooshed together. The wall beside our table had dried, old food smeared on it, and overall the atmosphere in that room felt like a cheap restaurant at best that was trying to be upscale by using a tablecloth and setting the table.
However, the food was decent - the price was not justifiable I don't think, but the fried shrimp, fried eggplants, and the crab and scallop pasta were good, just to name a few dishes. The turtle soup and the gumbo were both lukewarm, and not so great.
I don't think I'd come back here on my own terms, especially not with the atmosphere of the restaurant with the prices they want for their food.
