Excellent food, but the young woman at the register acted like I was putting her out by ordering food. A bummer that took the shine off an otherwise good visit.

That fried chicken sandwich was the best I've ever had! Kids menu and food was great, not a long wait for the food, and service was so wonderful. Thanks for having us!

Vegetarian? Order the crispy fingerling potatoes (no mayo imo), bean and corn mix, and buttermilk biscuit. Best stuff on the menu. Personally I'm not a fan of their chicken and that's 1/2 the menu but the sides make up for it.

Amazing fried boneless chicken thighs. Regular or with crawfish boil flavor. Its very delish. Tender and spicy. The staff were friendly and attentive.

I recently visited this restaurant, and while the food was quite good, the service was unfortunately a major letdown. The lady at the register seemed to have a very negative attitude, as if she hated her job. Not only was she unfriendly, but she also forgot several items we had ordered, which made the experience even more frustrating. If you're working in customer service, a smile and a bit of positivity can go a long way in making the customer experience more pleasant. It's a shame that the service overshadowed the otherwise decent meal.

We had a perfect stop for lunch here. The chicken was delectable and the bright airy interior was the perfect setting, although the outdoor tables were also tempting.

Everything was great except the service. The bartender was very very rude. The girl that took our order first was nice but the bartender was so rude. I tipped her anyway left the tip on the bar no big deal right this woman asked me to put it in the tip basket. Her tone was dry and she was not nice at all

Ordered through UberEats. The pulled pork sandwich was a small bowl of dry pulled pork. Not anything as advertised!!! This business is a FRAUD!!!

We are new in town. We took bus #31, thinking it was going to take us to Magazine Street after moving through Audubon Park, but the bus just kept on a street north of it. We got off and walked down State Street all the way admiring those mansions. By the time we reached Magazine Street we were very hungry. This restaurant looked very inviting. We found a table outside, but the mosquitos sent us back in. We ordered a la carte two crawfish boiled thighs, two tenders, one slaw, and one cajun potato salad, with happy-hour French bubbles. The drinks were very good, and the taste of food absolutely blew my mind. I never tasted fried chicken this good. And even though we thought we were going to order "small" so we could have something else later. But it turned out to be a decent lunch amount for two of us.

I was really excited to try this place considering they won number one fried chicken in New Orleans, But I was simply not satisfied . The chicken thighs sounded amazing but It is not listed on the menu that the chicken is boneless. We got the crawfish boiled chicken and although it was very juicy I would not get it again. Over battered! Fingerling potatoes were amazing!

Amazing spot for COOLinary! $20 meal and it was so much food. We had plenty to take home! You have to try the crawfish boiled chicken with pepper pulp & lemony miso aioli. Great flavor and not overly spicy. The sandwich is great too! Really fun spot for an affordable date or outing with friends! The interior has the cutest decor. Picnic also has a cute outdoor area with some games (cornhole & checkers for sure and maybe a few others). They have beer & cocktails too, so once it cools off I’d love to enjoy that outside at the picnic tables.

So far throughout my trip to New Orleans Picnic Provisions has been by far the best meal I’ve had. From the service to the amazing taste of the tenders I was blown away. As someone who often eats tenders these were exceptional.
