This location at the UMC, has good service during day hours. DO NOT expect this location to be open past 7pm. The posted hours say 1am… HOWEVER, night shift can never depend on these hours and many are left without their coffee, because THIS location will close the gate WHENEVER they feel like closing. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE… get this fixed!

I went there 2 days in a row to ask for a frozen hot chocolate. The first time i ordered one, they gave me a regular hot chocolate. And I told the barista that it was a frozen drink. To which she replied that it was a hot drink. I’ve told her that i’ve gotten a frozen hot chocolate before from PJ’s (it’s in the name) so i ask the barista “so a frozen hot chocolate is hot then?” and she said yes, and the. said i must not want a frozen hot chocolate. She kept telling me what I’m asking for is a mocha velvet ice. That was the worst customer service i’ve ever dealt with. Would give zero stars if possible.

Not good unsupervised. I love this place and the manager but when she is not there…

I recently visited this coffee chain while traveling out of state, after seeing a lot about it on Instagram (and knowing I don't have one at home). Most of the locations I encountered were attached to hotels. The setup was simple with tables and chairs and some shelves with merchandise for purchase. The staff was friendly, which made for a pleasant experience. I tried their fall seasonal offering, the S'mores Velvet Coffee, and it was quite delicious. It actually tasted like s'mores instead of just chocolate. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend giving it a try if you're in the area.

Every person I’ve encountered during my stay here has been rude with no customer service and beings it’s in a hospital they shouldn’t be like that.

This just happened at the UMC location. A non English speaking Latin person ordered two coffees and had some questions / requests which she asked in Spanish. The cashier / order taker did not understand her so she told the customer she didn't speak Spanish in a very abrupt and condescending way. The order takers associate ( the only other person there ) who was standing next to her laughed, loudly and obviously, at the condescending remark. Obviously the actions of both employees was extremely mocking of the customers handicap in language. It was disgusting enough that I immediately found a place to sit down so I could write this. I tried to find a phone number for PJs so I can speak to somebody about it but one is not published. Therefore it resulted in this public statement. Regardless as to intent I, being a reasonable person, saw offense in these behaviors. I would say this means that at a minimum those behaviors were not considered well before being displayed. I looked at the woman as she approached me by the condiment counter and saw her embarrassment and dismay. While I believe that it behooves a person to learn a passable amount of the language of the culture they intend to communicate with it is certainly not a requirement and no one should be ridiculed for not being able to speak it.

I can't decide what I enjoyed most?! The warm smiles and welcome that I received or the perfectly infused and steamed latte. This little coffee shop compliments the Doubletree hotel but it could easily stand on its own. I was greeted immediately upon arrival from all 3 baristas. My caramel latte was prepared as I ordered it. Talk about awesome! This definitely cut down on the wait time. The barista that was preparing my order confirmed the ingredients during preparation. The latte was double steamed which is very important.I returned to get another before I left! That's how much I enjoyed it. Return?! I wouldn't miss it.

I got a cold brew - black - no milk, no sugar. It tasted like coconut!! What?? I almost said something but decided to just leave and never come back.

At first, I thought I was loosing weight, because it appeared that the young woman behind the counter couldn't see me, However she did speak to the woman after me & take her order. I guess she didn't want to serve a white man "the woman behind me was black". Same story the next day, however this time there was another associate in the store with her & she took my order. Extremely poor service for a $3.00 cup of regular coffee. From then on I avoided PJ's at the UMC Location.

Very good choices for daily roasts!! The dark house blend was good and the Sumatra was also an excellent brew! I did not care for the cold brew-it has a sweetness that I could not enjoy.
