Some of the most amazing cocktails and food I've had in a while. Love the fusion of New Orleans cuisine and inclusion of SE Asian flavors. The Viet cajan butter style wings were reminiscent of my childhood flavors with really an elevated experience. We had the roasted brassica salad, chicken skin cracklings, and roasted gulf oysters. The braised beef shank ravioli was absolutely out of the world. I would highly recommend. We also la bella vita (honeysuckle vodka, italicus, cava) and the barca 75( gin, strawberry basil shrub, lemon, cava)-- this one was our favorite drink of the night. If we're ever visiting NOLA again, this will 110% be on our list to revisit!

Wow this restaurant is off the hook. Everything we had had so much flavor! The staff is friendly and the place looks great. Nice neighborhood and quick walk from the convention center. This is a must try in NOLA!

On a recommendation from the concierge at our accommodations we went to Plates for dinner. We were seated promptly and offered water and beverages by Amour, who told us that it was his first day on the floor. I was amazed by how much he knew about the menu and the variety of different dishes available. Our server for the meal was Lotus who was very attentive and descriptive each course in detail as it arrived. We chose to try the Chef’s Choice four course meal and were very pleased with everything. We were served the patatas bravas and the roasted brassica salad for starters. I don’t think I’ve ever had potatoes as a starter but they were amazing and the salad complimented them nicely. The next course was the wild mushrooms, the Louisiana crawfish croquettes and the grilled lamb skewer. The croquettes were a huge hit, the lamb was tender and very nicely seasoned but a tad salty for my wife. The main plate was the crispy coq au vin. It was perfectly prepared though the collard greens served with it were not to our taste. Neither of us grew up eating collard greens and haven’t developed a taste for them.Dessert was the Spanish almond cake with honey ice cream and marcona almonds which perfectly rounded out the courses. The cake was very light and the ice cream was amazing. My wife would buy the ice cream by the gallon if she could!Altogether it was a very pleasant evening. We both enjoyed the whole experience and agreed that it was one of the most memorable meals we’d had in a long time. We’ll be back!

We had the most amazing dining experience we've had in awhile. Our server was attentive without hovering. We ordered the gulf fish (Drum) for my son and we did the Chef's choice. Everything came out with perfection. Our drinks were never empty and no courses overlapped. Needless to say we left full and blown away by the whole team at Plates.

It’s a 3 star place which is good. The restaurant was huge and very nice with high ceilings. The servers were a little confused and not much personality. Maybe they were new? I guess I was a little confused about how the dinner was plated. I thought we were going to get meals serviced not just small plates of food. Like we ordered the Garlic Shrimp which was really good but there were only 4 small ones and the price was in the mid 20’s. Served with nothing else. I thought it was going to be a meal but nothing else. We ordered all of the apps and all were fine. *** Big warning. DO NOT ORDER THE BREAD BASKET. IT WAS A LOAF OF COLD COMMERCIAL WHITE BREAD SLICE UP FOR $6. What a joke. It was also Uber expensive over $70 a head for not much food and no desert and very little drinking. I would go somewhere else but overall it was fine

Rubee (like a Bee) was an amazing server. Super friendly and attentive. We were confused by the menu and chose to go with the Chef’s choice option - and we were glad we did. It was a great experience. The food was really amazing and was layer in both texture and flavor.

I came here for a birthday dinner during Mardi Gras and I actually had no clue a new restaurant had opened here. It still looks the same inside as when it was the mill (even down to the cotton being used as decor still) but it was pretty much empty which made it easy to snag for a group booking. Our entire party hadn't arrived yet so I went to the bar and it turned out to be happy hour yay! I got the viet cajun wings and "la Bella vita" for my cocktail. The wings were mid. Not something I'd really go back for, but I really think they could benefit from having something to dip them in. I feel like a ranch or bleu cheese would've elevated them exponentially. Darnell was my bartender and then he was also our waiter. They had him working the restaurant honey but he was great! He explained the menu very clearly and was super patient. I had been seeing the burger splattered all over the Instagram page and was sad to learn it wasn't available for dinner. I ended up getting the baked goat cheese and the ravioli. The strawberry topping with the goat cheese was really good, I had to ask for an additional side of it. The raviolis were just okay. Overall it was a good place for bites. I would want to come back with a crew who's down to order a little bit of everything and really do it family style

We had a wonderful meal for my husband’s 50th birthday. Everything was amazing from the moment we stepped in. Both the host and hostess were quite welcoming and made us feel special. And our server Rubee was the absolute best. She took care of us like we were family. All of our dishes were top notch and then chef even came over to our table to wish my husband happy birthday. Everyone went above and beyond to make us feel special and we cannot thank them more. We will certainly be back asap. I highly recommend you run, don’t walk, to Plates as soon as you can. You won’t regret it.Thank you again to the entire staff!Dietary restrictions: I have an allergy and the restaurant was aware and made sure that everything I was ordering was safe!
