Cannot say enough great things about Poke Chan. Probably the best poke spot in the city. The food is always fresh and delicious. Presentation is great. They try their best to source as locally as possible (e.g. the tofu from the West Bank that is phenomenal). The cooked dishes are also great. The wafer ice cream sandwiches are worth the visit in itself. Beyond all of this, the staff are the nicest people possible. The girls there couldn’t be sweeter, especially with kids. I’d give this place 10 stars if I could.

Kid-friendliness: They love kids! They are so caring with children and really go above and beyond to make sure they are happy and enjoying their food.

As a recent New Orleans transplant who’s lived in New York and Houston, and traveled to poke hotspots like Austin and San Francisco, I can confidently say that Poke Chan is hands down my favorite poke spot. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and the combination of sauces and vegetables pack a flavorful punch with every bite. What truly sets Poke Chan apart is the energy and warmth of the place. The service makes you feel like you're at home, and the atmosphere has this calming, peaceful vibe that makes you feel like the world is good—especially when you're far from family and friends. It’s the perfect blend of quality, taste, and genuine hospitality—the place is a New Orleans staple and must try.

Ever since I had to go on a vegetarian high protein diet this has been the one stop shop. It is great and the food will last two days for me.

Best poke bowl in New Orleans by far. Super fresh, good portions, kind service. The price is very fair. All of their sauces are so flavorful and interesting. It’s definitely a lunch spot or weekday early evening - they’re not open late or weekends. I’m a regular and come through at least 1x a week. There’s some mixed reviews on their page but tbh ignore them and give this spot your business!!

Arrived at 7. They close at 8, but clearly they were starting to close down. Ordered the Hawaiian bowl. Despite the description on their menu, it was served without wonton chips, macadamia nuts, and onions. For a large, it was not especially filling. It was mostly tuna and seaweed. If you are out of some of the ingredients, offer a substitution, or at least explain that some of the ingredients are out. It was also served in plastic to-go box. Pretty unwelcoming, considering they were open another hour. Otherwise, the service was friendly. Probably won't go back. There's a better place on Magazine.

I was in the mood for poke about a year ago and decided to check this out for lunch. So glad I did I’ve been coming to this poke lunch spot ever since. It is a hidden spot in St Claude. The staff is always friendly and the poke is fresh. I tried the Kinda Hawaiian with the wonton chips. The mango and tuna was fresh. Definitely coming back.

A+. Love this place for years. Consistently consistent and very clean which is so important w raw fish. The sauces are hard to figure out based on names alone, I wish there was better descriptions of their flavor.

The Japanese fried chicken was dark meat and they didn’t even specify it beforehand on DoorDash. All the toppings and proteins.. the flavors just doesnt add up. It might be my personal preference but looking at the reviews, the place looks nice.

Also wish they sold ramen online as well. The price for each dish on DoorDash was 18 average per bowl combined with service fees and tip. Lengthy delivery as well.
