The raw oysters were pretty shucked and refrigerated by the dozen. They good not great. Same for the red fish. Served over potatoes unfortunately they were cold and hard. The fish was average.
Great service, amazing atmosphere! Food was super! This was the 2nd time we have came here! I was afraid it would not be as good as I remembered! It didn’t let me down!
Absolutely delicious red fish, oysters, pork and bread pudding. Exceptional service with awesome recommendations.
The food is out of this world amazing! I definitely got the clean plate award lol. Ike is the best server, very knowledgeable and so friendly, also gave us amazing service. We went back the next day because we loved it so much! Highly recommend!
We dined here on Thanksgiving while in NOLA for the Holiday. While the food was good, the atmosphere was chaotic at best. We had a 3:45 PM reservation for 2, did not get seated until almost 4:30 PM. No waiting area, except out on Bourbon street, which for some reason was open to vehicle traffic that day, so narrow sidewalks with people speeding by in cars while waiting for table. The buffet was also running out of items frequently and the chocolate bread pudding was dry from sitting out. I would not return for the Thanksgiving buffet. The cost was ridiculous as well, over $200.00 for 2 (no alcohol) with tip.
Thee most amazing food! The staff were also beyond amazing and kind to me!!! Definitely returning soon!
I always eat one meal here every time i visit nola. SO reliable! Must have - BbQ oysters and bread pudding!!!
Had another Fantastic dinner... We normally come once a trip... but last week was so good we decided to come back a second time this trip... The Grilled Red Fish with lump crabmeat was EXCELLENT!!!! We were able to get a booth and the service was GREAT... We will be back again next year...
It was my first time visiting New Orleans and staying in the French Quarter so I was definitely excited about the food and I'm sorry to say I was thoroughly and overly disappointed with the food not only here but everywhere I visited. I don't know lately I feel like the tourist areas don't put enough effort on the food since they know people will show up because of the popularity but I wish they would really concentrate more on quality than quantity. Other than that, the food took a bit long to get to us but the alcoholic beverages were good and the service was suburb. Our waitress had the best attitude and answered all or our questions. She was very attentive and charismatic, I'm sorry I forgot her name though. Don't think I'll be returning to eat here maybe just to have a drink. But that goes for all 4 restaurants I visited while I was there.
Starter was great, Louisiana Crab and Brie fondue. We ordered two main courses, but mine (Seafood platter) wasn't even delivered 15min after the first. We asked several time what happened, finally we got it but Redfish instead! Got compensated with a free drink but overall experience wasn't great. It wasn't a busy evening, the restaurant was just half populated only. The attentive, German-speaking waiter, who was excellent, deserves special mention.

Ike the Waiter and his assistant were great. Total dinning experience was perfect! Food and drinks were absolutely off the chain great. Will definitely be back!
Hit up Red Fish Grill on Bourbon for some NOLA seafood, but it was another total dud. The redfish was dry and flavorless, jambalaya a soggy mess with zero kick, and the oysters tasted kinda off, like not super fresh. Portions felt skimpy too. Server started out alright but then vanished, screwed up one order and didn't fix it. Vibe was just noisy tourist trap from the street. Same story at every Brennan spot I've tried – all mediocre or worse. Brennan's bananas Foster was overly sweet with snooty service. Commander's Palace had bland soup and a dragged-out brunch. Ralph's on the Park? Boring salads and forgettable mains that tasted reheated. Not sure why I keep going back. Skip 'em and try Peche or GW Fins instead. Barely two stars.
We shared the wood grilled red fish and it was excellent, beyond that we were disappointed: crab dip tasted like mayonnaise, fried okra was pickled okra and just tasted like fried dill pickles, and Popeyes has better red beans and rice. With 3 drinks from the bar the bill was over $200.

My wife and I went to the Halloween Parade tonight. After the fun was over we found ourselves walking by Redfish Grill. It looked nice and the menu sounded appetizing. So we went in. Now were we glad we did! Our meals were phenomenal! I had the Pasta Jambalaya and the wife had the Wood Grilled Red Fish with Crab Meat. Folks…we couldn’t be happier with the taste! Sooo good! We also had the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer and they were spot on! All in all our meal was amazing. After our meals we had the Tipsy Tentacle shot flight. They were great as well. If you are in the area…give Redfish Grill a try. You won’t be disappointed.
I love playing tourist in my own hometown and the 4 winds did blow us right here to the Red Fish Grill. Man, this joint on Bourbon Street had the plate of the evening for sure!! That Wood Grilled Red Fish with Lump Crab Meat sitting on a bed of tasso, mushrooms, peas, potatoes in a lemon butter sauce was awesome!! Get that dish!!
