I was only in town for one night and went to Rosella on the advice of a friend. It was lovely! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and I loved the overall vibe. I also had a chance to chat with the owners for a few minutes and could tell they really care about the neighborhood and their employees, as well as providing a quality product. I highly recommend supporting this locally-owned restaurant and the wonderful folks bringing their vision to Mid-City.Parking: There's a small private lot behind the restaurant.

Just a great night out. To start, we had boudin balls, shrimp wraps with remoulade, and mushroom toast. All were excellent. Entrees were "baked potato gnocchi" and red snapper Keep in mind they seem to have a number of cocktails and specials that are not on the printed menus (a la the red snapper). Both entrees were excellent. The gnocchi were light and fluffy and my snapper was perfectly cooked and spiced with something that reminded me of the middle east spice "baharat". We'll be back for sure. Forgot to mention, they have good draft beers that are also not seen on the menus.

We stormed in like a hurricane to this place for our friend's birthday and wow... what lovely people. We didn't know if there would be 4 of us or 10 of us, but speaking early with the folks they told us "bring em all in," and did we! We usually are the types to make reservations, but this was a last minute thing and I'm so glad we came here to check this place out. We were welcomed with open arms and rum.The cocktails are great and so is the wine selection. The food varies with a spin on comfort - corndogs for some and brussel sprouts/salads for others. That coconut curry soup was LOVELY.Thank you Rosella team! We will gladly be back <3

Had the gnocchi for three days straight so far and it's still delicious. Alix and Paul are the best.

Rosella is exactly what Mid City has been missing! A romantic and cozy yet fresh and cool ambience. The food and drinks were delicious, original, and well-priced, and the service was excellent. Will definitely be going back regularly.

Everything we ate was delicious! We got small plates to share. I especially loved the fish dip, gnocchi, Brussels sprouts and mushroom toast. SO yummy. Also, there was a unique, warm ambiance. The service was super fast and attentive. The price ended up being reasonable as well!

Tldr: neighborhood restaurant misses several marks, no pacing, long wait, cold food (that’s supposed to be served hot).I cannot recommend this restaurant. Made a reservation for 7pm on Friday night. After a wait they attempted to seat us at the door but then offered a table in the back, which we took. The tables are small and cramped. It took our cocktails at least 20 minutes to arrive. The small board and boudain balls were delivered before our drinks. The food was mediocre. We ordered gnocchi and hangar steak, the special, which I was told they were out of so I selected the lasagna from the four limited options. The pacing here is non existent. My partner’s gnocchi was brought out within two minutes of ordering, so fast we questioned if it was ours. Meanwhile my lasagna didn’t appear for another 40 minutes. During that time several plates of lasagna were delivered to surrounding tables and newly seated parties were told the special was hangar steak (of which they were supposedly out). A small board was brought to our table which we declined because we already had ours. However, it was confusingly sent by the kitchen because the lasagna was taking so long. The small board was left with us, although we asked to cancel the lasagna since we had a show to attend. My lasagna shows up a moment later, cold and we’re left to carry boxed up second board with us the rest of the evening. I will give them two stars for the attempt of making the situation better with the small cheese board but it was a swing and a miss. The comped lasagna would’ve gone over better. We will not return to this restaurant in our neighborhood as there are many superior options in the area for food, service, and atmosphere.

With all the hype surrounding their opening I honestly was expecting more. We had been there plenty of times when it was Full Blast Brunch so we were familiar with the layout. Even when it used to be full it never was as loud as it was during our dinner and on top of that when someone went to the jukebox you had to yell to be heard by people across the table. We ordered the pimento cheese (which was fried), the corn dog, boudin balls and the lasagna as the main course. The appetizers were pretty good and the pimento cheese was my favorite. The lasagna was okay. It was okay but I think we'll stick to it as a snacking place.

So glad to have this place in the neighborhood! Cocktails are great, food is amazing (OMG the corn dog!), and the service is top notch. The old jukebox is also a great touch. Only recommendation would be to dim those can lights a bit for the vibes but I'm splitting hairs there! See y'all next weekend!

What a really cool place! The food, is unique and delicious. Service was great. Very inviting and fun ambiance AND a free old school jukebox playing some great tunes!

Had to come check out what took over full blast. Definitely a huge contrast going from brunch to wine and snacks. The inside hasn't changed much. That location has always been small so any time you have more than a few people in there it gets pretty loud. The waiter was great and had some good recommendations. For apps went with the corn dog, pimento fried cheese, and the boudin balls. The corn log is what it should be called is huge and tasty. For me it was a tie between the corn dog and the fried cheese for my favorite small bites. Boudin balls weren't bad just hard to compete with the other two. For the main tried their lasagna, which was good. I think their strength is drinks and snacks. I think next time I'll just do drinks and one of every app.
