One of the worst and most unprofessional experiences I’ve had at any establishment. Unfortunately the staff made an error and sat us without our whole party. Our server was immediately hostile with us and took out their mistake on us. I’ve never been more uncomfortable. We chose to leave. Really disappointed because we were very excited to have brunch.

It was quite good, our server Tommy was a bit slow but he was nice and forgot our waters.

This food is bland, poorly presented and well overrated. Disappointing start to my Louisiana food tour!

There was no wait time. Food came fast. It's on my to go list for my New Orleans trip but I don't think it's for everyone. We had trifecta and biscuits and gravy. They were a bit too heavy and flavored for us but definitely will fit some people.

Nothing special service wasn't bad but it wasn't good. The menus were hard to read because the writing is faded and scratched off. Had the migas it was just okay. They don't give you any salsa or anything. Also had the Spanish omelet it wasn't special either. And for some reason they can't bring out syrup with your food. You have to get it when your French toast is cold. The best thing we had was the loaded tots appetizer. The beignets are not worth ordering.

Came in as a single guest. Was sat at the bar. Server greeted with a smile. Coffee tasted 3 out of 5, kind of bitter. Sad because I love a good cup of black coffee. I had to have the biscuits because they are scratch made all day. Should be fresh, right?
Idk folks, but the biscuits were tough. Flavor was immaculate but just super tough or rubbery, maybe? The gravy and pancake were 100%. Just sad the biscuits weren't flaky and soft. Lots of brunch places and might try another in the pursuit of soft biscuits.

I enjoyed my experience at Ruby Slipper. We went for brunch on a Friday and it was packed, but the hostess got us a table for a party of 6 within 5 minutes and got us started with refreshments. The food was really good and the atmosphere was lively. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was really good. I recommend trying to bananas foster french toast if you visit. Definitely on my list of restaurants to visit when I come back to the city!

An unavailable dish, of which we are informed when all other dishes are served at the table. Other dishes barely warm. Not having the culture of returning plates less than an hour before closing, we still sent the meal but wanted to inform the manager who was particularly unfriendly, and even hostile. A little “Ok sorry I’ll inform the kitchens” would have been enough. I give 4 stars for the very nice waitress despite the embarrassment. The dish itself could have been good, we had eaten it in another Ruby Slipper nicer than this one.

Candy bacon and avocado salmon toast were disgusting and cold. Breakfast tacos were decent. The potatoes that came with them were hard/raw on the inside. There is also an egg surcharge. I don’t recommend. This was for the Lafayette La location

The food was not good.
As you can see in the pictures, the sausage was ridiculously dry. When you add cheese to eggs and grits, you expect it to be melted. This is a demonstration of the lack of caring of the chef and the temperature of the food.
No worries, the pictures speak for themselves. The fried green tomatoes lack taste.
The pancake was okay. I had to ask for butter and syrup. The cream, I pushed to the side.
The grits lacked taste as well. They use water to make them, and they stretch them. You can see it in the picture. Horrible!!
Last year, I went here and thought maybe it was just a bad day. No, this is just this restaurant. I can not understand what the other pictures and reviews are. They have to be old.

Practically a Denny’s disguised as a local eatery chain. Greasy food. Lacking in flavor. Eat at Streetcar Cafe a block away. There were other local breakfast spots in vicinity that more than likely took better care and effort with food.

Put on the waitlist and told 25 minutes. Watched several groups go and no one was seated. Asked hosts when we would be seated & they said they were not seating anymore because of kitchen backup. Did not tell a single person waiting outside. Terrible service

Cute location, okay service, food wasn't anything special. $15 for simple biscuit and a couple pieces of fried potato

We had simple orders of hot chocolate, coffee, and beignet. We were supposed to get 6 beignets for only four. By the time our drinks came they were cold. Asked for water 3 times never got it. They were busy but still no excuse to just ignore patrons. Horrible service and beignets were under cooked!
