There were baby rats and/or mice running around unbothered by the patrons in the restaurant!!!I have been a frequent patron of Ruby Slipper for years and am very disappointed with the decline in cleanliness and food quality. Our food was barely warm and overcooked, and the portion sizes were smaller.

The food is amazing, and the portion sizes were very generous. The wait for a table can be long at times, but the food is worth the wait. Also, the servers were all very friendly.

Until we arrived in New Orleans we didn’t know what ruby slipper was. And as soon as we arrived, we found out that this place is a brunch institution! The queueing system (if you do on Google) is slightly confusing, and more so for foreigners who don’t receive US texts. So I recommend going there early, queue to put your name down and stick around by the door and ask them periodically if your table is ready.. the atmosphere was buzzing and super cozy. It’s that kind of a place where you wanna go after a big day of drinking and still have a big hangover but want a good boozy brunch! The Bloody Mary is a must - has really good kick and the garnish of pickled green beans are yum!We went for the French toast with fried chicken and strawberries - yes it sounds strange, but gosh it worked so well! It’s sweet savoury and crunch all in one. Also the portion was massive. We also went for the biscuits Benedicts special with three different toppings. I love these options and they are fun to try though the biscuits felt a little soggy. There are lots of choices for everyone and I definitely recommend this place as a must try.

One of the BEST places in the French Quarter for breakfast/brunch. Food is very good therefore they’re very busy. I recommend joining the waitlist prior to arrival.

If you have not tried the Ruby slipper in New Orleans, then you must. The brand-name milk punch is fantastic as is the bananas fosters pancakes. And don’t forget the Bennies.

This was the worst Ruby Slippers I tried. Staff was not friendly, and the food was inferior to the other locations. Walk a couple more blocks and go to a different location

the food was a little cold and over cooked and service was slow. Other than that not a bad place to eat.

The service was the main issue. The bartenders did not even acknowledge the line for drinks but walked around without making eye contact. Then the one bartender just picked whoever he wanted to serve among the standing patrons ignoring those of us standing under the ORDER HERE sign. It seems they are busy enough so they don't really concern themselves with how they treat customers. To me, service and friendliness is still important.
