The restaurant is very nice with good ambiance. The service was incredible and the drinks were as well. The food was good, however not necessarily in line with the price. Seafood gumbo as appetizer was insanely good, as well as the bread pudding as dessert. The main had great presentation, good flavor but slightly underwhelming. I would go again to this restaurant

Saint John has not missed a beat in their new Central Business District location on the street car line, sidewalk tables, and easy parking in the open lot next door. The staff is as lovely as ever, and the food is just as delicious as it was when they were in the French Quarter. I don't think anyone can fry a better oyster, great gumbo, grillades and grits that no one ever has on their menu, and yummy pies. Truly, one of our very favorite New Orleans restaurants for lunch or dinner.

The Saint John Restaurant is larger than it appears. The atmosphere is definitely lively and very tasteful. We enjoyed the full cocktail bar in the front but there is also a large dining room in the rear and generous outdoor seating on the sidewalk. The service was friendly and attentive and the food is very good.

New location, same amazing food from Chef Eric Cook. If you are in NOLA, it's THE place to try for innovative cajun/comfort cuisine!

What a great and classy restaurant. Everything was just right. A subdued ambiance, great for conversation. Our waitress, Ashley, was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Her recommendations were on point. The food was delicious. We had the fried oysters. The sauce made the dish. I had the redfish meunière on abed of potatoes and artichokes. The fish was moist and flaky as well as flavorful. My wife ate the short ribs which melts in your mouth. It was so delicious. We were too full, for dessert.
We will return here on our next visit to NOLA.

AMAZING!!!!!!(self described foodie here) This restaurant has only been open about two weeks(St. Charles location) but it’s already a New Orleans staple. Eric Cook and Darren Chabert have knocked it out the park again!! I grew up eating Creole/Cajun food made by my grandma so naturally i ordered the sea food gumbo first. Words cant describe how good and well balanced it is, but it’s not about how wonderful it tastes it’s the fact that I had my first ever ratatouille moment. The first taste took me right to my grandmas kitchen eating my grandmas gumbo. That was my first dish and it has only gone up from there! I continuously crave and dream about eating the Oysters, that’s not an exaggeration. If you need something lite, I have come in for the Caesar and/or the wedge salad for lunch at least 3 times already. Something to get ready for an early evening on the town is the Pork belly and white beans. So rich and flavorful, it does everything you need it to keep you right for an evening of activities. For dinner you need the Yassa Shrimp to spice your life up. It’s NOLA baby, you need this type of spice!!!! The rack of lamb is melt in your mouth good and who doesn’t love jollof rice…. like bro they made jollof rice Creole. I know right, blew my mind too. 🤯 All this goodness and it’s not uncommon to see Chef Cook walking around and just vibing with the guests. To put the cherry on top, $10 happy hour, thats all I need to say. Yeah $10. So from the experience to the food you can’t get more New Orleans than St.John. DONT SLEEP, JUST EAT!!!

Tucked away in the CBD, recently relocated Saint John is still serving great food and drinks with an awesome staff. The bar area is large so plenty of space, Sierra (sp) was really welcoming, ordered the baked crab and the filet Oscar. That baked crab was so delicious and has tons of lump crab meat and comes with toasted buttery French bread. It’s a must! And loved the filet, could dance in that sauce! Put this on your list, will definitely be coming back.

Beautiful place for a date night. All of the food we had was wonderful and the service was great as well. Our server, Paris, was attentive and gave fantastic recommendations on food and drinks. For appetizers we had the Rabbit Fricassee and the Roasted Garlic Caesar salad which were both a great way to start off! As for entrees, you have to order the Creole Beef Daube (the perfect short rib dish)… it is so tender and delicious. I also was impressed with my filet. Bread pudding for dessert makes a girl happy too. You really cannot go wrong here, so make that reservation. I’m so happy that they have reopened in such an amazing new location! I will be back!
