I recently visited Sala Nola for steak night and had a warm feeling of nostalgia. While the service was a bit slow, the prices were a pleasant surprise considering the portions. The steak was mildly seasoned and a bit small, but the mash potatoes were a nice touch. However, it was the ambiance and setup inside that truly shined ….it felt like I was back in Houston, and that was the best part of the experience. If they can work on getting the service up to speed, I'd definitely come back.

Fabulous restaurant we visited for brunch on a weekend. They had onsite parking and were able to easy seat us without a reservation.
One this visit we enjoyed the Fish Tacos and the Sala Burger. Both were excellent. The fish taco positively melted in my mouth with awesome tastiness. And the Sala burger was simply burger perfection. We actually shared both of these making it a surf and turf experience.
For desert we devoured an order of fried powdered donuts which were awesome. So if you are a couple look for a chill brunch location I highly recommend Sala Nola.

Friendly enough place. The service was good. The gumbo was a little bland. The grilled shrimp appetizer was delicious. On the atmosphere was kind of loud but We could hear each other speak. The desserts were over the top.

Great food. Large portions, I was surprised. Mimosas Craft was perfect . The chicken and waffles taste fresh and the waffle had a real good taste. The Crab & Bacon Omelet was the highlight of the meal. We enjoyed very much. Great service, will be back with more fam & friends.

I'm only giving a 4 star because the Filet Mignon Tacos were taken off the menu. That was the ONE thing I was looking forward to when I came home to NOLA to visit family. As a matter of fact, the menu has changed in other ways as well. My parents noticed things they liked were off the menu, too. With that being said, we still enjoyed our meal. The seared tuna was awesome. I could have just eaten that. However, I did order the filet, and it was cooked exactly how I asked. The only issue was I listened to my husband and asked for medium rare. Which, I prefer rare. I listened to him because not all restaurants can prepare a really good steak. Well, guess what, they can. My steak was a little over cooked to my liking, but again, that is on me. I still ate it all, but maybe 3 bites; to which the dog received the rest when we got home. My husband said the fish was some of the best fish he's ever had. It was the special that evening. If I remember correctly, it was parmesan crusted. He gave me a couple of bites, and for someone who doesn't really like fish... that was delicious. My parents and their two friends very much enjoyed their meals. Thank you for a lovely meal with family and friends.

We came in from Memphis, and just wanted to go out to a nice restaurant. This one, just adjacent to the lake. We had the artichoke dip, probably the best we’ve had since Houston’s clothes. Then the Caesar salad. Not some bottle dressing, but made fresh. Excellent. Then we had the fish of the day with an Almondine sauce. It was Pompano. Excellent.
