Stopped in for lunch and had the special for the day. Greens and fried chicken with yams and macaroni. OMG. It was so good. Tastes just like your mamas cooking, that’s if your mama can cook. The waiter got a little lost at times. But the food at this joint is worth the stop. The Owner comes out and says hello. She even brings you extra cornbread. I was greatly satisfied.
Solid good food. Ole' Treme Jambala Combo was fine. It was a little lite on the shrimp and sausage, and they were small pieces. The grilled catfish was excellent. Dry Rub Baby Back Ribs were flavorful, but not falling off the bones. Terry did an outstanding job as our server. Vegies, broccoli and green beans were both overdone.
We ordered their seafood pasta, gumbo, Stuffed Bell Peppers, crab cakes, bread pudding and more. The food was hot and ready. But I was forced to wait to pick-up my bag despite no one waiting in line. Different staff members would look at me, but still walked over to the pickup bar, grabbed something off of it or would use the register and then walk off. It took about 5 mins before anyone asked me if I had been helped (very disrespectful therefore forced to dock 2 stars for this)....
