Excellent piano player on the Monday night. Thank you. And thank you for the free chili and rice. On the way through town, on my own. This is one of those crowds where I felt loneliest after leaving. I knew I should have turned around at first sight of the girl reading a novel at the end of the bar. Too cool to say hello and when you do makes you feel like shit. There is a novel in every human, tree and tombstone. Nobody here seemed to care about mine. I should've gone down the road to what appeared to be a happening black bar. Pretty sure someone there would care to say hi. The Streets of Bakersfield played in my mind during every piano break.
