Charming breakfast restaurant connected to a bookstore that offers delicious food in large portions. They offer a couple of vegan options, and the service was quick and efficient. I had the scrambled bowl that was full of flavor, with a side order of the praline french toast that was easily one of the best french toasts I've had.
I will definitely be visiting again whenever in New Orleans, because I need a full serving of the praline french toast and to try their red velvet waffles.

Closed 09/29/24 with no notice. Drove all the way here just for it to be closed when it stated open online. Unprofessional.
I truly hate leaving a bad review but you’ll understand why:
An hour after we ordered, we saw a woman coming in with a bunch of eggs in grocery bags. We saw every table that sat after us got their food before ours. 20 mins later our server brings one plate and tells us they mid-way ran out of eggs. We continued waiting for the rest of our food, about 40 mins later one person still has no plate and one person was missing their sides.
We were a party of 7 but everybody else in the restaurant got their food. And then we saw the same lady walk in with more ingredients from the front door. A place called scrambled and eggs on the wall and you run out of eggs! It was a Saturday 11-1pm.
Food- Sausage was like jimmy dean’s, French toast was like bunny bread, chicken & waffles were pretty ok but they put sauces on the side.

Ummmmmmm yall really should update y’all’s time because on the internet it says yall open some days and when I go yall be closed
Unfortunately- I heard great things and was very underwhelmed. The only thing I can say was that the catfish was good. After that - nothing else. My friend’s food was burnt. The waffles were too thick of a consistency to eat. And the grits were very bland. And to top it off - we had a lot of ants on our table while we were eating. Server did nothing about it when we were discreet about it.

Second time dining…..first time the food was on point……second time around, not so great…..took about 35 / 40 minutes for the food to come out……food was cold(french toast, egg, pork chop, bacon, sausage- not sure what kind of sausage it was, didn’t taste like sausage) …..menu states the french toast is brioche bread however we received regular white bread ….had to wipe ants away that were crawling from the wall to the table…..manager took care of the ticket- Thank You……

Needs to update their Google. Traveled uptown via uber only to learn they were closed on a weekday(Wednesday morning)
Absolutely ridiculous personnel that works here, who forgets to sit you! Then when you inquire about the open tables you receive attitude. Will never try this again!!!!
Walked into this place this morning and was pretty pumped to try it out. My friend and I waited for longer than 5 minutes at the counter while employees were just walking by and ignoring us. We had to flag someone down to ask if we could be seated because there were open tables and the person told us that it would be a 35 minute wait. The vibe was completely off in there— I didn’t look or feel like anyone was enjoying anything— the waitstaff or the customers. I won’t be back!

I’m from HTX. Came down for a mutual friends bday. After waiting 30 mins to be seated, we were then told there was no bacon or orange juice. Reluctantly, we ordered. I choose the avocado toast which was sourdough bread, avocado spread, dressed with a salad mix, shallots (another ingredient, can’t remember off hand) and I ordered a side of breakfast sausage (which I ONLY ordered because my meal came with no addtl protein other than the eggs).
After waiting 45 mins, The toast came out WITHOUT 3 of the ingredients, which wasn’t acknowledged before or after my food was brought out. When I addressed it my server said “i wasn’t aware of that when I put it in”, she was VERY NICE btw. My other party got their eggs before everything else, ended up being cold when all their other food came out.
I was forced to order something else, which I didn’t want, because we were pressed for time atp. I went with the shrimp and grits.
I was upset because I work part time in the hospitality industry (bartender) there were no accommodations made. I was still charged full price for everything, which was really absurd for me.
For me it just wasn’t a good experience for me. Please try it out for yourself this just my experience

Burnt pancakes, understaffed unseasoned sausage. Grits were very good though and food was affordable.
Underrated breakfast spot south of magazine. Get the scrambled bowl over hash browns. YOU'RE WELCOME. The mixture of the guac with breakfast sausage, hash, mushroom and jalapeno...o man. So good.
The shrimp and grits were also decent maybe a little over seasoned.
