Great, unique food. Don't skip the fried chicken hummus! Service is spectacular & bathrooms clean.
Fantastic place! The food was amazing! The only down side is the noise level was a little too high so hard to carry on a conversation. Other than that, everything was on point! We will definitely come back!
What a lovely place. The server was amazing and very knowledgeable. She guided us to the perfect drink and food combinations which had us enjoy every morsel! I highly recommend this place.
This was my first visit, and I can't wait to return! Food was fresh and yummy, atmosphere was trendy and inviting, staff were friendly and attentive. Perfect lunch spot for me and a friend, loved it!
We came for the special restaurant week menu. Excellent food value and everything was delicious. We took leftovers home, and are very much looking forward to enjoying them tonight. We will definitely be back
So cold in there that I couldn't enjoy anything. Rather than seating me in my usual spot , they put me at a table for 4 with a view of the men's room. The wine took forever. BUT I did love the unoaked Chard. First wine I've liked there The salmon took an inordinate amount of time. The cut was smaller and too well done. Chef told me they had 70 res on the books and ended up with 160. Diners in both sides of me were unhappy about something. The combination of new new hostess and new manager doesn't seem to be working
Shaya is a unique and innovative restaurant in a city of great restaurants. The menu is diverse, meets the needs of almost anyone, and their fresh pita is to die for. Will never hesitate to try to eat here whenever I'm in NOLA.
This was my second time at Shaya and we enjoyed sitting at the bar for date night. Items we tried and loved: fried chicken hummus, ikra, world's best pita, and the lamb kabobs were to die for. I tell everyone I know to eat here!! I see others complain about the noise level... we enjoy these lively type atmospheres! :)
The food was very good not because its originality but its flavor! But we were a little disappointed that the bread was not made in the advertised oven and then they had run out of one of the dishes we wanted to try. But we highly recommend the food!
Unbelievable. The best Mediterranean food I've had. The vibes of the restaurant are spectacular as well. Great service. Shannon was amazing. Will always go back.

Hadn't been back in a while and was in from Dallas visiting the family. They were very accommodating and patient as my grandfather is slow to enter the restaurant. It was only a Tuesday and maybe half full, yet still extremely noisy to the point where it was hard to hear each other from across the table. The reason I awarded 3 stars for service was solely because of the waitress who served us. I don't know if she was having a bad night, but she wasn't very pleasant from the start. Additionally I've been eating at Shaya since they opened their doors in 2015 and have never felt rushed throughout my meal like I did this past meal. Three times while eating our appetizers we were asked to order our mains to which ever time we had to explain we were still eating!! It just felt awkward and uncomfortable. Additionally the waitress took things off the table without asking like menus that were still being read. It sucks cause their food is still great and the supports staffs attentiveness is also there. Maybe just an off night for the waitress, as I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Will come back again but not in a massive rush.
We went to celebrate a birthday which was noted in the reservation. The server did not acknowledge nor offered a desert. We inquired about how sweet the drinks would be and he dismissed us. The drink was super sweet. In telling the bartender how we wanted it made she was also dismissive. I do not recommend going here for a special dinner. Stick to happy hour.
First of all greeted warmly by the hostess followed by exceptional service by our server Kayla. The craft cocktails all looked so interesting and I really wanted to try something different...Kayla was so patient describing them to me and even said if I tried one and didn't care for it she would take it off the tab. I tried the Rise & Lively and liked it enough to finish it?. My partner wanted something light and enjoyed the Lebanese Pilsner. We enjoyed the complimentary Za'atar dip, then ordered (2) Satim, we tried the Baba Ganoush and the Ikra both outstanding...you can taste every flavor. Then we tried the Cauliflower topped Hummus, more yum! All enjoyed with a continuous serving of the delicious warm pita. We couldn't stop eating it...so much so we didn't have room to try an entree so we tried a small plate of the Brussels sprouts...sooooo good! All in all I would definitely come back the next time I'm in NOLA and recommend it highly as well.
I brought clients here on a business trip. The food was delicious. Some of the best on this trip. Highly recommend the fried chicken hummus, lamb shank, and yogurt dips with fresh bread. Bon appetite
Really cool spot on Magazine Street with parking on the side which is awesome... Everything we had was delicious and I will come here again. Saw it on TV and had to try it.
