From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday every week the Sidecar has half price oysters by the dozen. It is a special plate of selected oysters from around the country. They are the best I've ever had and I go each time I'm in New Orleans .

A great selection of oysters from different areas of the country. Staff was on point and really nice. The courtyard area is pretty stunning looking. Plenty of space and tvs for watching whatever game you're interested in.

Really cool and immersive patio. Even on a hot day, you can feel refreshed with all their fans. Plenty of TVs to see the game. Probably one of my favorite things about this place is that they have someone playing music when commercials are on and they switch the audio back to the game immediately. I always find it frustrating when I go to a bar to watch a game and they don't have the local or big game on. Sidecar sets the standard for what you should do. All staff was really good about keeping things stocked, cleaning tables immediately. A MUST go to place.

For $16 I got a tiny shrimp poboy with 7 shrimp on them. That's enough to keep me from ever going back, but there are other reasons to stay away, too.
First, you aren't waited on at your table, you scan a QR code to order. That's fine, but the deal killer is they ask for a tip BEFORE you get service or even see a human being. To make it worse, it defaults to 25%, an amount I'd only give AFTER I've received exemplary service.
Second, you can only ifder food via the phone. To get drinks you have to go to the bar and get them yourself!
Man, this was one of the worst, most insulting experiences I've ever had eating out anywhere. These are the kind of people responsible for runaway tip culture and I'll be damned if I'll support that.
Bad food, scant service, get your own drinks - I'd sooner starve than ever spend another dollar at Sidecar. New Orleans is full of wonderful places to eat and drink, this is not one of them. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

It was different due to all beverages had to be ordered at bar instead with the food order. But the food and atmosphere were great.

Kitchen closes at 10. Ubered here specifically for oysters to only be turned out bc they stop serving food at 10. Needs to written on website so people don’t waste $40 rt to come here for nothing.

Overheard someone ask, “are the oysters good today,” and the bartender replied, “we never have bad oysters.” She wasn’t kidding! Delicious! The seasonal Old Fashioned was one of the best I’ve ever had. Would definitely come here again.

Last year my best friend and I came here for his Christmas party, and this year we can for my Christmas party. Both times we had the same bartender, and she is such a gem! I wish I had gathered her name, but super stylish shaggy hair cut, cute tattoos, and I'm assuming around my age (30s)... I wish I had more to describe her. Every time we approached the bar, she was always busy (open bar for service industry...), but stayed pleasant and all around awesome. I wanted to give this girl a special shout out! Don't lose your touch! You're awesome!
