Absolutely OBSESSED with this place — I honestly can’t say enough good things! From the moment I walked in, everything was chef’s kiss perfection. The atmosphere? Immaculate. The staff? Incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely seem to love what they do. Every detail felt thoughtful and elevated, like they’ve truly mastered the art of making people feel welcome and taken care of. And the food? Let me just say — the red beans and fried fish deserve their own standing ovation. Perfectly seasoned, cooked to absolute perfection, and full of flavor that hits all the soul food notes. I’m still thinking about it days later. It’s the kind of plate that makes you close your eyes with the first bite and forget about everything else. Five stars isn’t enough. If you’re on the fence — GO. This place is an absolute gem and then some.
The food was great! Although we couldn't see the show we could definitely hear it which was a great ambiance.
I wish I could give this less than a 1 star review. Waited over 35 minutes after ordering a beer and food. Only saw our waiter once (when he delivered the beer). Never got our food. I would not have my worst enemy eat here.
Salmon was raw but they took it off the bill. Their web page was not clear that the dinner and jazz show were in separate rooms and there was a separate charge for the show
It's been a while since I have been to Snug Harbor for dinner and a show. I am glad to say they did not disappoint. The Jazz set was great and our dinner was delicious. Service was great. I will definitely be making plans to return soon.
Went for dinner before a show (which was itself, amazing). The menu is typical NOLA tourist stuff. Nothing unique to the restaurant so there is no reason not to hit one of the much better places nearby and then come over for the show. Service was great, prices solid, but overall the food options were just eh.
Very pleasant experience. Excellent food! Outstanding entertainment. Very cool environment. Friendly staff
Food was delicious! Loved the deviled eggs!! Will definitely be back next time we're in NOLA
Hostess was very nasty and rude. Had reservations. 2 people were outside parking. Refused to sit us. We said u can sit us they’re coming in we know what they want to eat and drink so it won’t hold up the waitress at any point. We literally all viewed the menu the day before so we knew what we wanted. Celebrating a 75 year old bday so we planned to be gone before the 9 o’clock cut off time. Well this hostess made every excuse as to why she wouldn’t seat us. So she had 12 people just lingering in the small doorway instead of letting us sit. Rules are rules but she wouldn’t budge at all then shrugged and said well it is jazz fest so…. Just nasty and rude and I’m mad I didn’t read the reviews before hand because they’re very telling
We met a couple of friends that I had not seen for years for dinner. We started at the bar for a cocktail and then seated for dinner, party of six. We were enjoying each other’s company, reminiscing about the “good old days” laughing and just having a wonderful time. Midway through dinner - woman approached our table and said we were laughing too loud and disrupting the show. I have been to MANY live performances and cannot imagine that dinner conversation containing laughter would ever be an issue, especially given the fact it is in a completely separate area. This was my first visit to NOLA and in my excitement I went to stand in the doorway of the live music not realizing it was a ticketed event. A man scowled at me for a bit and then decided he needed to rudely tell me it was a private event. No grace, just hateful people. I have never been treated so badly after spending over $400 dollars on dinner for food that was mediocre at best. I will never spend another dime in that establishment and would not recommend any one else do either.

The musical conversations that are had here are so far above Nashville and Memphis “live music” that it’s almost not worth visiting them. Snug Harbor redefined jazz for me in a fresh way when I saw John Ellis’ reimagination of the arias from the opera Carmen. I’ll be back.

Monday Charmaine Neville band performance was disappointing. Half of the band should have retired and not even with the right energy level to perform. This is definitely not the snug harbor standard or NOLA premium jazz band experience we expect.
Came here for a jazz show, performers great and nice/awesome people, servers attentive. Would recommend if you are looking for this type of event.

We've done dinner and a show before and usually the dinner is unimpressive. This was truly a great meal before the show. Seafood gumbo and white beans with fried pork chop - both were delicious. Saved it as a favorite.
