Food overall excellent. Freshly made pasta stands out. Probably the best kale salad I’ve ever eaten.

Surprisingly inventive cocktail menu, with a strong bar program that also flawlessly executes the classics.

Visiting New Orleans and came upon Sophia. Everyone in our party of 4 was impressed. The food was so delicious! Fresh creative Italian. A highlight was the gluten free options. The GF pasta was as good as the wheat pasta. Christy was a knowledgeable and attentive waitperson. Very highly recommended.

Overly priced for what you get. $30 for a bowl of pasta, no protein.
My lamb shank was good but very small for the price. No ability to custom order additional protein (since protein portions are so small) such as a side of chicken breast. Hiphop music blasting over their nice speaker system when this is supposed to be an Italian style restaurant.
Kitchen charges a 4% tip automatically on the bill.
I won't be back.

The food was delicious, and the music added to a refined, yet relaxed atmosphere. Marvin, our server, gave great recommendations and was honest, descriptive, and checked in on us frequently.

I enjoyed myself, and we’ll definitely be back.

Had a quick bite at the kitchen bar before an NBA game, and was lucky to get a seat. The place was busy so I recommend a reso, and the vibes were lively, good spot for a small group.
Service was super friendly, I wish I'd gotten the young woman's name so I could credit her, but she was quick with a smile, looked at you instead of her notepad when you ordered, attentive and her cheerfulness was contagious, like family.
Nice wine selection, and the menu offered a good amount of choice while still keeping it small. I had the pesto, wish I had the chance to try the ricotta I saw them preparing in front of me. Cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was amazing, practically licked my plate.
I was talked into the tiramisu, homemade of course. It was delicious, just a note of warning, don't inhale when taking a bite or you'll get chocolate powder in your lungs and a coughing fit.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back next time I'm in NOLA.

Sofía was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, I loved the atmosphere—warm, stylish, and with great music that really sets the vibe.
The pizza was outstanding, truly one of the best I’ve had in a long time: perfect crust, fresh ingredients, and incredible flavor.
The service was excellent—friendly, fast, and genuinely welcoming.
And to top it all off, the espresso was fantastic: rich, aromatic, and perfectly made.

I’m definitely coming back. Highly recommended! 🔥🍕☕️

We live near Sofia and have been regulars. Our last two visits have not gone well. In October, my wife's pasta arrived at the table well after the rest of our four person party. They comped the meal. Last night, she took our niece for dinner and her order was lost. When it finally came, it was full of red pepper which she had originally ordered without. Again, her meal was comped but she didn't get to eat. We really want to see the restaurant continue to succeed but we're losing patience. It hasn't been like this in the past.

This place has always had the best Italian food in the city. Food was good but doesn’t live up to what it did in the past. Maybe we just had an off night. That being said, we enjoyed the drinks here more than ever. The drink called the arabesque was quite spectacular. My husband had the sazerac and raved about it.

I also think the music is just a bit too loud. Otherwise good vibrant atmosphere

We sat outside on the sidewalk in cramped tables. They ran out of on tap Peroni beer and Abita, at 8pm. I specifically asked if the pizza I ordered had tomato sauce and when it arrived she said oops, I was wrong, this one comes with extra cheese instead. That was after our pizza sat for a good 10 min on another table so it was just warm when we got it. Very slow kitchen. The table behind us canceled a missing order. Then, the bill came with a kitchen appreciation tax, that after waiting 40min for a pizza?

I’ve been coming to Sofia’s for a couple of years now since it is one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans and I always recommend to everyone in town but I was extremely disappointed last night.

We ordered drinks upon being seated then waiting an astonishing 30 minutes until we finally went up to the bar and asked if we could order food because our server was no where to be seen. Then our server comes out to tell us he forgot about our table and proceeded to ask if we wanted drinks (that we already ordered with him 30 minutes prior and had still not gotten). Luckily after this debacle our drinks and food came out quick and it was amazing as usual. But we soon realized we had been entirely forgotten about again. We waited almost an hour after receiving our food; waiting for anyone to check on us, refill our water, take a second round of drinks, but no one came. So eventually we stood up and asked the hostess if we could pay and got out as fast as we could.

I never leave negative reviews and I do love this Resturant but I was truly disheartened after being forgotten about not once but twice and having to ask staff if we could be seen.
